He got two close range shots on target which the Cardiff goalkeeper blocked. Better than any of our other players managed from an attacking point of view. That Shelvey pass wasn't the easiest to control so he did well to get the shot away.

Kenedy has been awful. -
I like it when our detractors say they don't class the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup as a proper cup and yet FC Barcelona do.

If he doesn't sign with a new club in the next 14 days I'll presume he's retiring. He's a free agent now so why would clubs wait until the transfer window closes to sign him?

You honestly think Steve McClaren identified Saivet as a player he wanted and NUFC went out and bought him off the back of McClaren's recommendation? https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/henri-saivet-confirms-hes-close-15034320

Includes bonuses and £30m of wages we're writing off from players who will never play for us again. Hence it's bullshit accounting. Various fans with professional accountancy qualifications have analysed the accounts for these instances of 'creative accounting'. The BBC and others just quoted the £112m as fact without questioning it. That's what the fans are dealing with when we take on Mike Ashley. We're on our own. Don't expect any help from journalists. Most of them are happy to print what they are spoon fed.

Would that mean this was the eventual outcome? Shola = Vader Ashley = Emperor Luke = NUFC

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
LoveItIfWeBeatU replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
It's gone from "Mike Ashley has saved thousands of peoples jobs" to "Mr Ashley has promised to keep 80% of the chain's 59 stores open" in a matter of days. That's 20% of those 16,000 jobs (HoF employs 16,000, 5,900 directly and 10,100 in concessions) likely to go soon. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45180451 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45140874 -
Saivet is apparently on the verge of a permanent move to Bursaspor.

I see Rolando Aarons wasn't given a squad number. A loan to an English League team or a sale abroad are his options then. NUFC.com

The good news is he must have read through all the comments people left him to pick out the 'offending' tweets. -
People who aren't interested in NUFC just come out with the "What do they expect? To win the league?" cliches. A list of reasons why we aren't happy with Mike Ashley's NUFC ownership would help rather than "he's a fat, Cockney bastard" as the uninterested would think is the reason.

A list of facts like was done for SackPardew.com would be a good idea for the group to push. For example, the net spend over the last 10 years compared to other clubs. The fact that clubs with smaller grounds outspend us. The decrease in match day income. The refusal to upgrade the training ground. The thickos in the media don't read analysis of the accounts so they never question the figures. Journalists don't have accountants review the accounts, that's left for the fans to do. All the facts need to be listed in bullet points for the low attention span world we live in today.

So anyway, is he going to join a new club or is he retired?

18 players from the under 23s didn't get new contracts: - Aziakonou, Cameron, Ben El-Mhanni, Findlay, Gallacher, Gillesphey, Heaney, Heardman, Hunter, Kitchen, Newberry, Pearson, C.Smith, L.Smith, Spooner, Ward, Williams, Woolston. Was the under 23s squad pool restocked? I presume there can be no more recruitment for the under 23s squad pool unless the player is unattached?

Spoilers! That's FIFA 19's 'The Journey' ruined for me now.
