Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
LoveItIfWeBeatU replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
You mean a quarter of a billion pounds. Even Ashley is known to spend a quarter of million pounds (when he isn't looking to run a profit on transfers). -
Worth putting up the whole article: - https://www.newcastle-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=65181.msg6815493#msg6815493

No one has seen him play professionally for ages. He wasn't picked by PSG for the last season and a half. Interesting to see how much he plays. Being a big fish in a small pond seems to suit him better.
-
Did Rafa tell Kenedy and Atsu to play really badly? Rafa makes mistakes like everyone does but hardly anyone in the team played well. Is Rafa not getting the players fired up enough?
-
"There is a strict ban on taking God's name in vain in Italy" In this day and age that is ridiculous. I thought only the countries stuck in the dark ages had laws like that.

Has Kenedy got an identical twin brother? I think Cisse pulled the same trick on NUFC with his twin. A good half season from the real player then the twin takes over.
-
It doesn't matter how badly we played, if you get taken out in the box you should get a penalty. It's not what you deserve it's called the rules. He's not wrong, overall. "The Newcastle players think they should have had a penalty and surround the referee but they didn't deserve anything from the match." We should have had a penalty. The performance was shite but we should have had a penalty. I'm sick of NUFC never getting blatant decisions in our favour from the incompetent/corrupt officials. "Deserving" has nothing to do with correct refereeing decisions.

We get the shit end of the stick every game. Roll on the days when VAR is used in every game.
-
Can't wait until the televised game against Man City when the pundits all line up to complain about Rafa's negative tactics.
-
We'll come back at the end of the season and see how he's done. If he's had a good season then good for him. I just don't get saying he's a smash hit 3 games into the season.
-
Gayle proved himself a great success for NUFC in the Championship. Not the Premiership. So far Mitro has proved himself for Fulham in the Championship. Joselu scored against Tottenham and Chelsea. Does that mean he's going to be a great success for NUFC now?
-
So Mitro scored 2 goals against Burnley (who haven't started well and are struggling with Europa League fixtures) and after 3 games people have decided he will be a great success for Fulham? Maybe wait half a season at least before passing judgement.

Photographs of training sessions are regularly published in the media. The SD adverts are usually visible in the background.

I'd have thought the 'Kingsman' films would have ended the view that umbrellas aren't something a 'real' man would use. "Manners maketh man".
