He's really, really slow. Pretty much his only weakness. Teams that look to take advantage of that have been successful on occasion.
-
Lampard, Gerrard, and Barry will probably be in there until they're fifty.

Yeah, Libya are the only country in the tournament with a destabilising political situation. Them winning would be a positive boost for all of Africa. Brutal sarcasm

Us going out after drawing 0-0 with Iraq, which we should have beaten, after they defended and time-wasted the fuck out of us for 120 minutes. Forgive me if I didn't find them that endearing. I hold national team grudges for 10 years minimum. Wiki says you drew 0-0 in the quarters too. No goals in two knockout matches sounds like you only had yourselves to blame for going out. Actually blame my team for playing badly? Fuck that sensibility, I'm a football fan. It's all their fault

Work rate has always been his biggest weakness so it's good to see that he's improved in that respect. I do kind of worry because Cabaye-Tiote is going to be our long-term CM partnership and if he keeps playing this well, he's not going to be content with being third-choice. Contract negotiations coming up as well. Surely not going to ever, ever be called up for England though

I just imagined you Googling furiously to find that video

Do you not have wind in Korea? Cats and wind. Those are the two things that creep me out every time I'm overseas.

Be like when Iraq won the Asian Cup. Gah, you've just reminded me how disgusting the tournament was that year.
-
Just noticed that EG beat Libya. Guess they're better than I thought.
-
Who's going to qualify ahead of them? Libya? It's not impossible but I think the other teams are shit enough for them to stave off the inevitable just long enough to annoy us.
-
Kicking a ball accurately over long distances is hard when it's windy?
-
Let's not get our hopes up too much. There is absolutely no chance whatsoever of Equatorial Guinea getting anything against Senegal. NOFC would probably have a decent shot of beating that lot
-
In his defense, the wind was supposed to be pretty wicked today.
-
Having watched Dalglish's post-match interview, I think he's slowly losing it.
-
What's even worse is that, despite how appalling he has been described on this thread, he's still 100000x the footballer any of us will ever be So true The absolute worst player to ever play Premiership football could probably run circles around all of us.
-
He'll be eased into the side with Shola being picked ahead of him for two months
-
how many times have i heard that today( well yesterday) The question you should be asking yourself is, how many times will you be hearing that until the ACN is over.
-
Just watched my recording. What a fucking bullshit match. I want to throw things.

It's going to be surreal seeing Drogba and Anelka up front in the ACL.
-
Drogba to Shanghai confirmed by Chinese press. 3 years on 200k p/week.
-
If I understand Pardew's thinking, Best and Ameobi are probably both going to start, although I think it's quite possible that he'll start HBA at right wing.

I wouldn't rule anything out right now. The Cisse transfer has blown everything wide open. Not since the Coloccini signing has Ashley shown any real ambition in the transfer market and £10m on a 26 year old is no small investment because there's no guarantee we'll get any of it back. Maybe Branson is behind it, who knows? I can't imagine he'd want to be associated with anything other than a successful club so if that's the case this could easily still happen. To be fair, this is basically just the money we had earmarked for Maiga anyway. True but Maiga was being bought as a saleable asset, it will be a lot harder getting money back for Cisse unless we flog him within a year or two. Also my impression was that with Taylor getting crocked the Maiga money would go on a defender. That is a valid point. I guess that does allow you to read into his motivations a bit if you look at it that way. Basically this is just the part of the Carroll money that was earmarked for a replacement that was supposed to be spent in the summer and then was supposed to be spent on Maiga. So umm... Thanks Liverpool.
