  1. Stevie Taylor is going to run himself into the Thames after that!
  2. Come on let's put everyone up for this corner. That means you too Tim Krul
  3. It's Essien, Malouda, and Drogba v. two Ameobis and a Lua Lua, what do you expect
  4. Man I don't even care about the scoreline I wish we could just keep playing this game for another half hour so I can keep enjoying Ameobi+Ameobi+Ranger up front
  5. He does the flaps at the cross and misses it thing all the fucking time though. He's way too eager to come off his line for set pieces.
  6. Man this is probably the least I've ever cared about conceding a late winner
  7. Don't worry, this happened in the Carling Cup. And Ameobi made sure justice was done. This time we have two of them.
  8. I swear for some reason this is the most exciting moment I've had watching Newcastle i the past month
  9. I hope Shola doesn't last that long. Sammy on for Shola in the 80th minute. Obviously. Would be epic.
  10. Personally I think he's torn. He likes it here and would be happy to stay but he can't keep denying that there are other opportunities out there for him that are just objectively better. It's a situation a lot of people go through. You like your job and you're very close with the people you work with, then suddenly you're offered the chance to move to a different position with more prestige and better pay.
  11. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could have pinched a draw this afternoon and beat WBA with him in the side. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that we could do that without him. Both are heavily unlikely, of course.
  12. Sol Campbell can run?
  13. Obviously the product of years of impeccable parenting from haz good one.
  14. true that It works for a lot of us
  15. No shock there.. I really do detest that droopy faced c*** Tottenham will sign every good player we're after. Liverpool will take away from us every one that they missed
  16. Stoke for me. I'd like as many clubs as possible to win fuck all for as long as possible like us. Need company at the bottom.
  17. I don't know. I do remember seeing him a lot that season though, don't think it can be said that he was never given a chance. Neither him nor duff were at all effective that year.
  18. I think the whole idea that "we mismanaged him by signing Duff" doesn't hold any water at all. We needed competition in that place and we weren't going to have him be the only left winger in the squad. Duff for 5m seemed like a a good deal at the time. Instead of relishing the challenge he decided to pout and let himself go just because he didn't get to be a guaranteed starter at age 20. This is a big ol' pile of bollocks, like. The signing of Duff, and consequent reluctance to drop him no matter what kind of 'form' he was in, stunted his development. It was also detrimental to the team as a whole. I don't get it, so was the only way to properly "develop" him to not sign any other left wingers and give him a guaranteed first-team place? He's a professional and it was his responsibility to rise to the challenge of competition for his place. For f***'s sake playing well enough to be chosen over Damien Duff shouldn't be hard see above Instead he chose to sulk, and his development suffered as a result. He got plenty of minutes under Roeder (Duff was made out of paper and often had to play on the right because everybody else in the squad was too) but he was never as impressive as he was in his breakout season. Of course, this only relates to the signing of Duff. The subsequent decision of several managers to play him at left back was of course unabated idiocy. Kinnear's handling of him was also sort of embarrassing but what about that man wasn't. Duff made 33 appearances that season. N'zogbia made 35.
