Was just reading through his wiki article... ...Huh?

Sven Goran Eriksson is without question one of the best club managers in the world. His record speaks for itself. It's utter comedy that City sacked him after a brilliant first year and replaced him with a clueless hack like Hughes. The only reason that he's even in a position to consider offers from clubs like pre-takeover City, Portsmouth, or hypothetically even us is because of the stigma that unjustly accompanies him due to his time with England. Whichever mid-table club that gets him is hitting the jackpot.
-
If they get him I'll weep f***ing tears of blood. Two clubs in s*** situations and s*** managers. Portsmouth sack theirs and got Sven, we stick with Epic, just f***ing epic.

Everything else aside, it's just a monumentally stupid idea to have a protest without even stating what the protest is actually for.

The apology is much needed well accepted but also extremely late. The answer on NUSC was somewhat illuminating. As for the rest of the interview, Llambias really doesn't give us straight answers on anything. Look at how he answers the Wise question: yeah, he's director of football, we've known that for two years. Yeah, he goes out and looks for players, we've known that for two years as well. What we really wanted to know was what relationship he has with the manager, who has the final say on transfers. Is he selecting all of our targets and doing all of the negotiation? Or is he just a glorified chief scout? Are there separate transfer budgets? None of these questions are answered and instead we're given a bunch of form answers that are closer to truthiness than truth. I'll have to read the rest of the interview but for now I'm certainly less than satisfied. The expression "modest net spend of 15~20m" pretty much shows what's wrong with the fans' expectations now.

Think Kinnear might have been referring to the "questions for the chairman" thing Llambias is doing this week. Assuming that he wasn't just spouting nonsense again.

exactly. And so was Alf Ramsey. Morale of the story is don't believe everything people say or what papers portray them as saying Basic stuff really. Yep. Slagging off your players in public is the quickest way to lose the dressing-room.... usually followed by your job shortly afterwards. says : huh?

[dreamland] Arsenal finishes season at sixth, sacks Wenger... Kinnear leaves after barely keeping us up. Ashley makes shock summer move for Wenger. [/dreamland]

Didn't realize we were at home. Assuming that Nolan and Oba are fit this should actually be around 50-50. (Or 33.33-33.33-33.33 if you want to be pedantic)

Two for Xisco, one for Kazenga, one for Ranger. Is this a reserve match or a N-O fanwank?

Lad can score all he wants, we'll still never see him in the first team

Sven and perhaps Scolari would both require big money to spend, Curbishley at least is proven in budget managment with Charlton and just as well because when he got some money to spend at West Ham he spunked it away. I doubt it was Curbishley who was spending multi-millions on the likes of Ljungberg and Dyer at West Ham. Seems like a much more sensible man than that.
-
Curbs would be an excellent appointment. Although I wouldn't think that we could get him because he'd be a bit wary of who he's working under due to how things ended for him at West Ham. Would be about on par with Steve Bruce.
-
Hopefully we'll get a late Christmas miracle and they'll appoint Souness.
-
Just worked up the guts to send a friend request to Oba. Fingers crossed

Grant's obviously a pretty decent manager. I wasn't all that impressed with him last season because I thought "meh, how hard could it be to do well with Chelsea." This season, Scolari has given me an answer: pretty fucking hard.
-
I'll be downright weeping if two weeks down the road, Pompey have appointed Curbishley/Grant and go to Stoke with honeymoon mode on in full force. While in the mean time we're stuck with Joe Kinnear.
-
Nah, you're not. They'll get a proper manager now, and we still have wor Yeah, i thought about it for a moment, realizing that we actually were fucked, and came back and erased the part about overreacting. Really is horrible news for us.
-
f*** f*** f*** f*** no. Probably one of the worst things that could possibly happen to us. We're f***ed.
-
The funny thing is that it makes it sound like Aguirre would be our second choice if Kinnear didn't sign his contract.

One of a few manu players who have been a true great and a credit to the game. Him and Scholes. Two of the best British players of their generation. and Beckham ! Nah, he's a c***. do you ? I think he's been a great player, great professional and is also a good bloke to go with it. Don't like his missus mind Haven't got the time of day for him tbh. A pretty good footballer but nowhere near the level of Giggs or Scholes imo. I also think he always comes across as a f***ing prick. He was a brilliant footballer and is probably still just as effective as Giggs or Scholes are. The tragedy ( ) with Beckham is that he's often underrated as a footballer because of his "hollywood" status.

Nolan not suspended Harper Raylor, Colo, Bassong, Enrique Duff, Butt, Nolan, Jonas Love, Oba We may even have a prayer with that team.
-
One centre midfielder? No thanks, as crap as Nicky Butt is. Harper Raylor Coloccini Bassong Enrique Butt Nolan Jonas Duff Martins Viduka Yes, i know Kinnear won't pick that side. Actually, he probably would if Nolan wasn't suspended.

Remember how Nigeria and England had a "row" about who was going to get Ameobi?
