I normally don't even hate Liverpool that much, but If true:

Arguing about Leeds knowledge with someone who lives in Leeds just seems like an epic bad idea...
-
You're all wrong. They're in Seoul right now hitting it up over some Soju and boiled dog.

Like any other striker, he thrives on service. When someone like Barton is feeding you the ball rather than some 18 year old kid you're bound to score a few more goals. Being a striker has to be one of the most thankless jobs when the majority of your job depends totally on the team around you. You can't put the ball in the net if you don't get it. (eg: Owen) He actually scored plenty, I think the comments were more directed towards his general play.

People who've watched reserve matches frequently have said that Xisco is pretty much dogshit...

Sebastien Bassong signs for Tottenham Hotspur, fee undisclosed
oldtype replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Unlikely to "do a Jenas" on account of the fact that Bassong is actually good. What is "doing a Jenas" anyway. c*** that he is Jenas isn't a bad player. I think he's dreadful. I think he's better than anything we've had in central midfield since he left. -

why on earth would he join pompy tho, i know he would be "in the premiership" but they look a good bet to get relegated this season so i think he should either stay or go wait for someone else All he has to do is play decently this season, get called up to the world cup squad, and move. If he could get capped while playing for Newcastle last season, surely he can get capped playing for Pompey.

Neither would I. The animosity towards him yesterday was really surprising. He's lost the spine of the team (not his fault) but failed to even begin replacing it (entirely his fault). Yesterday was a performance straight out of the O'Leary era. Absolutely and utterly lacking in art, in skill and in cohesion. Seems like a victim of his own success to me. Sacking O'Neil now could come back to haunt you in five years time like sacking Sir Bobby did us. O'Neil isn't perfect, but you don't go sacking a manager unless you have reasonable expectations of appointing someone who can do better.

I would CUM for those "in reality" players
-
Surely even the nuts who run our club aren't daft enough to sell both him and Taylor...
-
The net value of the club won't have changed. Instead of having (Numbers meaning nothing as I'm completely making them up) £100m worth of players and £80m worth of debt, we'll have £30m worth of players and £10m worth of debt. Unless Ashley trousers the money rather than reducing the debt, of course. He'll not because that would be illegal... ashley can use the money to reduce his debt because he had lent 100m to newcastle PLC which stated in annual report 2008 is it illegal ? In that case he would be reducing the debt, not trousering the money.

I refuse to be bitter... I refuse to be bitter... I refuse to be bitter....

The more I see him in the Championship the more I think we absolutely need to keep him. But we can't.
-
Wouldn't it be absolutely epic if Moat takes over this week, appoints a new manager, buys up a few players.... ...and we play worse than we did with Ashley as owner, Hughton as manager, and a paper-thin squad?
-
If somebody told me two weeks ago that Smith would be the MoM for our first match of the season and Shola would be for our second, I would've told them to fuck right off
-
It's apparently near-impossible to get banks to finance leveraged takeovers in the Glazier-Man Utd mold anymore, so I'm personally not getting my hopes up over this.
-
Bingo. I wish some brave man would just shoot the fucker in the head. I do not feel an ounce of remorse at wishing death on Mike Ashley. Don't be f***ing ridiculous. I just don't. Obviously I'm not going to go cap him myself, but if some sort of accident were to happen... I can't say I'd be mourning.

Without doubt. It will kick off, big style. I would really be amazed if ashley shows up tomorrow. If he does he better bring either a new owner, new signing lionel messi or alan shearer with him or hes gonna get f***ing owned. The line-up tomorrow will say a lot. Imagine if Duff, Taylor, and Jonas weren't in the squad. ...And Kinnear was in the dugout. we really aren't gonna have enough players to field a full team. I mean if duff and jonas aren't in the squad who is gonna play wing. We've only got one Lua Lua Hughton will have to call up Shane Ferguson or Wes Baheng I imagine...
-
The answer to our troubles is getting rid of the fucking spawn of Satan that has had a deathgrip on our club for the past two years. I don't even care who the manager is.

At least you'll buy replacements... Dear God, two or three years ago we were arguing whether or not we were the "fifth most successful club in the Premier League era" Look at us now, we're getting into "my club is more hopeless than yours" arguments with Watford fans. (no offense)

He's too much of a high-profile player to be playing in the Championship. He's going one way or another.
