The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

Listening to Sky and Setant at the same time is making my head explode. -
Would be a bit daft if we didn't sign him after having him paraded around in an NUFC tracksuit

For my sanity's sake, I refuse to believe otherwise. -

Blatantly Redknapp trying to unsettle Oba and save them some points when we go to their place -

If Ashley comes out of the window saying "hey, I haven't got you any new signings, but at least I've sacked Wise!" I'm going to grab a shotgun and get on the next flight to London. -

Seriously, where do we go from here if there are no signings? How the fuck are we supposed to stay up? -

He's our last remaining player with any pace. It makes sense to get rid as our other players could never stay with him if they were trying one-twoes. Bent's pretty fast. -
I love Oba, but he's a permacrock. Amount of niggly injuries he picks up is absurd.

As much as it pains me to say it, I actually wouldn't have minded that swap. Oba's almost as much of a permacrock as Owen is. -
Sharpening my pitchforks.

Calum Davenport going to the scum? Would have been fucking mouth-watering if he had been in their back line yesterday.

I'm going to sleep now. Fully expect to wake up to riots. -
f*** me, are you HTT? No. Next question? Why are your toys out of the pram because a player who has worked harder for us than any other in the last ten years has taken an extremely lucrative transfer with the potential to win something for the first time in his career? When answering, bear in mind it won't damage the first team very much, and could be the difference between us getting some more outfield players and not. Shay's still a ledge to me, don't really care if he was a bit of a nob for his last two weeks. The 11 years before it make up for it. Thanks for the memories. Read my post at the top of the page. Like I said, if I can fall out of love with Kevin Keegan for leaving us in the s***, I'm certainly more than capable enough of falling out of love with Shay Given. Fine, I don't think fall out of love with either though. Your choice, I'm hardly in a position to mind control you.

Ryan Taylor confirmed and a central midfielder and I'm set. Impossible to expect anything more at this point. -

He's been very good at RB but as good as Beye? Jesus wept. There's not a shred of exaggeration in my mind when I say that Beye fit is the best defensive-minded right back in the league period.

Probably the team we'll see other than Duff in for Lovenkrands. Think Kinnear will prefer Carroll over Shola. His one redeeming quality is that he doesn't drop in-form players Not sure Oba will be fit to start though.

amazes me sometimes how people on here dig up information from completely random places. -
I also feel kind of insulted that he's left us without releasing some sort of statement thanking the fans. Like I said, doesn't give a toss about us or the club anymore.

Martins-Bent-Carroll-Shola-Lovin' as a strikeforce to start next season wouldn't be bad at all. We can release the Ranger if it looks like we're about to push for a CL place.
