  1. Noted a few posts in the thread about this, but seems like the CAT was a key outcome. The fact other clubs are now kicking up a fuss likely indicates some were kept informed or updated about the process in 2020 (whether that was the Premier League or beIN). The game has gone, but we could say the same about Project Big Picture and the ESL where that came out the blue. Disappointed with the BBC in all honesty who shared the FOI requests from 2020 as "latest news" when they didn't care back in May 2020 in our calls for transparency. You can't have it both ways.
  2. A number of them are now playing for their future - we've got a full 25 man squad so to bring in any players others will need to leave or end up like Atsu/Saivet in the U23s.
  3. We don't have a CEO at present so arguably need to start from the top and build that way, can they turn this around in 10 days or so?
  4. Ian Woan with Forest knocked us out the cup and Asprilla with the corner flag against Metz
  5. I wonder if the EPL have had the result from the CAT case which has kicked this into action to be resolved? I can imagine they clearly do not want a public case airing what has happened as sees like they've not worked out separation in a day as opposed to 18 months.
  6. They already have the statements...wouldn't be shocked if there is a surprise snippet of footage of one of the new consortium or Ashley entering a building in a rushed manner.
  7. Would be delighted if this goes through, but also a bit conflicted as everything we've heard about regardings the issues will have been seemingly bypassed. If the beIN aspect was there all along then surely the influencing of other clubs was true and therefore a contributing factor to not being approved despite the 'no comment'. The whole process has been an absolute farce so at least it is clarity either way!
  8. Would imagine their update will be statement to say club has been sold - probably drafting up the document ready for David Craig to read out.
  9. It seems like a fairly basic marketing tweet about a cause. The last part of the key paragraph is the main takeaway which is about new donations which essentially is the call to action to grow the pledge rate. I've just saw @Greg is going to be on a YouTube show tomorrow evening so credit where credit is due as probably be some awkward questions to face.
  10. "Real world" the online farce with True Faith, NUST and the fanbase won't even be recognised. I joined up in the aftermath of the Rafa news, but stopped shortly afterwards. Essentially it was the opportunity of a collective voice at the lack of hope around the club that was the catalyst to joining, but they've probabaly reached that point almost three years later where the hasn't been any changes to the part of the club we all see and that is mainly covered...on the pitch or boardroom as the takeover has shown. I've read about the community efforts and making suggestion to boost mental health initiatives for fans, promoting the women's team and raising concerns around accessiblity in the stadium which are all great things. Some of the tweets and responses have been abysmal though - a lack of leadership and professionalism (I'm no longer a member so my views don't influence those decisions). I just want to highlight that collective voice because although we all disagree on certain things everyone want's the best for the club - whether that is monetised or not. I don't know @Heron but fair play stuck to your views and probably saved yourself some time. You've came across really passionate on your posts, went through the process of putting yourself out there to be voted on by others so really just to say don't sweat the small stuff.
  11. I don't quite agree with this, majority of fans are passionate about Newcastle United FC rather than this St. James Holdings Limited that we're seeing marauding as a football club. The majority won't separate the two.
  12. I really don't like his quotes after a game. "I look at myself straight away. Can we do better? We'll keep working on it." honestly he won't, he swanned off the Portugal and then all the stories leaked about training schedule issues. He hasn't put any work in, but it's the collective 'we' to try and make it seem like we're all in this together. Steve, take one look at yourself, realise you've got us heading to the Championship and walk away like you've done to many other clubs.
  13. I can't see us winning any of the next four games which will firmly place us in the relegation zone ahead of the mammoth amount of games in December.
  14. The change today sums up the management/coaching as they couldn't deal with the Wolves formation and moved the 5-4-1, however arguably it actually made us less of a threat. Hayden is turned too easily for the second, Longstaff slides in with no conviction to do anything and Chan just peeled off into the gap left by our third centreback.
  15. Poor performance - international break is simply a break for the fans from watching this atrocious team. I wonder where Bruce will take himself off to this time...
  16. It's playing devil advocate, but if they Premier League are to win essentially they're a law unto their own - would the ramifications of this seal an already closed shop? The argument could go either way, but a win for the League might stave off that independent regulation as they've been shown to be"fit for purpose"
  17. They've also enrolled at the international school they're outside of in preparation for the winter transfer window.
  18. https://www.ft.com/content/8c0ffe51-3fee-4cd6-88ab-54401e62dada DAZN making the move into the Premier League taking over BT Sport. Would this give them Champions League as well?
  19. I'm under the impression he got a bit sick of the constant loans and felt ready for first team place, but it never arrived and club didn't have much of a plan for his development. Fair play - he has done well since leaving.
  20. I think we got that when we moved to Brentford from Peterborough. Probably already been spent!

    Joelinton

He has very raw attributes that should be suitable in the Premier League, but mentally he won't ever achieve this. A prime example was winning the ball back, dribbling past two Leeds players and then breaking down in their box when failing to decide to pass or shoot resulting in him falling on the deck. The way we play doesn't help him at all, but he has proven over the two-three seasons so far he won't make much improvement in current setup.
  22. Woodman injured on Wednesday in a shooting drill...fairly sure on Thursday Bruce said he didn't know who keeper was
  23. Does the manager usually do a pre-match chat on Sky like this?
  24. She won't do anything. Fully expecting something to come out about how she is unfit for the role in the next couple of weeks - there have already been old tweets dragged up about the BBC. We might get a soundbite similar to the previous occupant how ministers are not to get involved with the Premier League if it is ever asked.
  25. It is a classic bait technique to drive engagement. He has heard something, doesn't state much in the following tweet, alludes to a group then informs them to watch the show. You'll catch him fronting property investment with that Samuel Leeds guy off YouTube in 2022.
