While I do think Jones has made some errors his hands are tied. It does go on the players as well because we're not a great side with a lot of talent and the little talent we do have we haven't found a way to play that suits them all. I'd struggle to describe our system or tactics as we rarely play football. If he does get the Brighton game just go for something radical with either a change of formation, players or both. It isn't like he is risking his shot at the job and for those players on the fringes they'll most likely not get much playing time moving forward. The league is ran for greed, but I can't see this going on as surely all clubs are causing longer term damage as brands no longer will look to invest in the Premier League. It has been said by numerous sources that it is pretty much illegal, but you have to feel like some clubs are now trying to prevent others from commercial growth through other means to reduce competition. Independent regulation will come in at some stage and a number of deals will be looked at for "market value".

Interesting that out of the two lads with Morton it is McEntee who is deemed the more promising player as opposed to Tom Allan, who at 22, seems to have not even found his level in Scotland. Out of the players on loan listed on .com could only really see Vilca, Longstaff and Watts potentially get an opportunity longer term to prove their worth.

The issue is that the pundits are less likely to be objective either through personal relationships, business dealings or previous engagements with clubs. There is a cancel culture that exists, but you'll often have ex players move into the media as a means of making a living and as a result offer "expert" opinions on the game as they see it. Do I care what some will say about Newcastle? No, because their opinion has been influenced by a personal relationship as opposed to watching or understanding the current situation around the club. The downside is when they fall into the etiquette of assuming or an opinion that is outdated due to not having the awareness to do some research. I'm not suggesting that a pundit needs to research in depth all twenty clubs, but if the media briefed them on the hot topics and they spent a bit of time (not Twitter) researching it might actually improve. Steve Bruce has left, he wasn't successful with us during his time here, but it wasn't unexpected based on the information we had from his previous spells with clubs in the Premier League. With a backdrop of an initially failed takeover that promised the world and minimal transfer dealings from an owner that was hated it pointed towards a dismal job. Steve Bruce accepted the role knowing full well the expectation from the club on his achievements and by staying up he fulfilled those. The media will turn their attention to Ole now because that will be the hot topic and in a few weeks time I imagine it will be another manager that will be facing the heat. Retrospectively will this not result in a number of questions about current Premier League clubs and their sponsorships related to their owners? I imagine the Crystal Palace sleeve sponsorship by FaceBank would be questioned based on the investor John Textor being involved in the club as would Everton, Leicester City and Man City. The game is long gone and now the pressure on Hoffman is being reported based on other clubs you'll probably see some awful decisions. Clubs voting that intended on creating a Super League 6 months ago to the detriment of those that have voted with them now.

Steve Bruce is not the right man to manage the team. Everything Redknapp is saying here are examples where Bruce falls down on.

100% this - it has become a vacuum both good and bad. I'm not sure if this exists already in the podcast world, but there has been an intrigue why posters that aren't born in Newcastle (especially those not in the UK) have an affinity to NUFC. We've got fan clubs around the world - would be interesting to see what the reaction around the world has been like taking all the cultural considerations on aboard plus you're catering to a diverse audience. You could even review past NUFC European adventures linked to that country as a bit of a throwback before a hopeful return to the European days!

Some really good suggestions in here. I really like the thoughts of local businesses having the opportunity around food or drink, although probably should stay away from themes like " French Day" as can only see that going one way... The Fans Forum is a must to return and arguably has to given the need for the club to engage with fans and calls around transparency. Fair point from Vagabond. Who runs NUST? Each year the members given the opportunity to elect a board to represent them. Every member of the Trust has the same vote as anyone else. There are no majority share holders. There is an elected ‘Chair’ of the board who directs the board but the ‘Chair’ also only has one vote in any matter, the same as any member.

Arguably if you want a quick win with new ownership alongside the organisation aims not a better way to achieve it i.e. show St. James some love, ticket pricing, regenerating the area, loyalty points and community issues. Hopefully we see the return of the Fans Forum for some transparency.

The easy option probably would have been for NUST to communicate this to members as they have previously around board movement and if he was revoted on then fair enough. I'd argue the same for Heron though, he has taken himself off and really members should vote for him to either be re-instated or replaced by the person that had the next amount of votes.

Its an odd feeling looking back to July 2020 when the statement dropped from the consortium that they had pulled out. I was just about to echo this, he was one of the first to break the takeover talks. I could see Bruce announcement coming tomorrow or Tuesday morning with Jones taking training in interim for the Spurs match. They are going to meet the players tomorrow so would imagine a photo special and if Bruce isn't in them, rumours will start already!
