The same Carr that is having a good season for Birmingham in the Premier League? As much as I don't like Carr, on ability alone, I'd take him over Simpson every time. I only remember him as an injury prone, overweight and slow defender who couldn't win a header against any striker. Don't know how he's playing at the moment though.

They were part of a much bigger, fully-functioning shitmachine, and were integral in the 'turd wheels', so to speak.I don't bear them any ill will though. Even Owen? tbh he's the only player I'd actually enjoy watching fail. The rest I'm not all that arsed about. I'd also would like to see Bassong fail tbh. He left us but without us he would maybe still be in French playing in their 2nd league or sth. like that. He's not going to fail though, he's a class centre half and we saw that pretty early on when he was here. Yeah, I know he's class. But I almost hate him for not sticking around for at least one other season with us.

But only if there weren't others who were better than him and wanted to come to us. Who, realistically would you say is better out of interest? Who better than Mark Hughes? There are too many to mention tbh. But when you say who's better than him AND wanted to come to us (if he wanted) than it's getting dificult to find many. Of course Keegan springs to mind as he always would want to come to us again (of course not under Ashley) and he's miles better than Hughes imo.
