kind of surprised he's on it at all tbph

i don't think they're in a terrible place considering the previous 2 years, change of ownership etc.

"there's no way this is a bad idea"

i'll hate myself forever when he's finished and i didn't bother my arse to see him in the flesh, absolute dickhead
-
said that to my old man, him having that in his locker brings so much to the team overall it's mental how much difference he's made to us in such a short amount of time Only thing we currently have is nobody in the side to make use of his pace, the only one really able to play the ball over the top is Shelvey and he's not in the team aye been saying the same, it's a problem in that it's a nice one to have if we ever manage to exploit the quality and pace of his runs consistently he'll do some real damage

probs on buttons -
Game suited Shelvey when he got on.
-
Will say it again, it's because of how left sided they both are. Ritchie's body shape is always wrong for the pass Almiron needs with the runs he makes.
-
why are these the only 2 options, and what is it you've seen in the last 3 years from rafa that leads you to believe on any level he could be considered gullible? situations are more complex than we see on pre-match interview snippets or whatever shite the papers write, if he stays it could be for a multitude of reasons
-
i think anyone that isn't a raging fuckwit can see right from the off that any issues with almiron currently stem from our ability to get him involved in the right ways/areas...he seems to have the pace and attributes to be a success
-
it's an odd one now, though he's not the best midfielder for the team as a whole i'd say that shelvey would likely be the best midfielder to play with almiron by a mile
-
did well after a dodgy start on the ball i thought, which was encouraging people comparing him to rice pre-game...now i've seen more of rice i don't know why as longstaff seems much better on the ball and rice much better defensively from limited viewing
-
i wouldn't say it was wrong but the way west ham setup caused us massive problems in midfield especially, game felt very cramped with no space and we never really got free out wide nor in behind them i've not seen much of rice before but he seems a pretty good DM to me, physically capable and has the positional sense to be in the right place and we never got between them as a result
