always get shafted on scottish banker games like, usually celtic who most unusually scored a late winner yesterday to bring my 5 game accumulator in @ 17/1 for a fucking change
-
will never tire of watching him turn on a sixpence putting a defender on their arse

i get the impression from limited viewing that part of the issue here is how one sided they both are in their play -
20-30 years ago they were producing a decent level of talent, ok a lot of them didn’t play in the Scottish leagues, but they did nationally. Rangers and Celtic were also at a decent level in European competitions. They arn’t producing the talent anymore and both Celtic and Rangers are also-rans in European competitions. The quality has certainly gone down. I get that it’s a country the size of Yorkshire, but from where they used to be to where they are now is a sad decline. Back then Rangers and Celtic had some pull and was able to get hold of and pay decent players. Gazza, Laudrup, Sutton, Butcher, Larsson, Lambert, Negri. Moneyball left them behind when an ok sponsor and high attendance wasn't enough to compete anymore. aye i think if you look right back during that period it's not as if either side had a nucleus of european standard scottish players, all the decent ones went to england almost immediately their performances in europe were always about raising their games, which is fair, but shouldn't be confused for the overall standard of the league nor those two teams

i like his workrate but i don't like his use of the ball generally if i'm being honest -
i actually thought we could have done with Ki in at times yesterday (not instead of longstaff mind) as their midfield did a decent job of pressuring ours when the ball went into them often forcing them to pass back to schar/lejuene or horizontally to the wingbacks...ki has a very useful knack of being able to turn out of pressure and into space that would have opened the game up a bit more for us i feel i mean you can't complain, just something i noticed

2 at this point, we'd have to go on a ludicrously bad run now

with any luck they'll go bust again the cheating cunts

i'd rather give up on football than watch that more than twice a season, fucking diabolical -
this is why the likes of rafa are head and shoulders above, no doubt in my mind he could rock up to any PL side and do a job But it’s the people side that would mess it up. I think the majority of top 7 teams, he’s too defensive for their fans and maybe some of the players too. That’s what done him at Real. Players didn’t buy into him at all and it caused him to fail. i was getting at lower mid table to bottom really, in that his methods are so good and established that given the time he could turn a situation around whereas PFM shite like pardew can have short-term impact but it rarely lasts, rafa is basically the opposite of them

think we all accept this as truth but there's only so much piss taking a person with any integrity can take before they snap
-
I don't think he has any actual interest in leaving and starting a project all over again. It's whether he can get what he needs to not be fighting for relegation each season and to create his grand plan to push us much higher up the table. If he can't, he has nothing to prove, so he'll leave. yeah this is fair buy a starting striker he wants and some quality fullback cover and he'll stay imo, and we'll be pushing to be best of the rest if he gets them in early enough

been thinking how to post this but even considering the constraints he's been working under he's managed to either buy, develop or improve a nucleus of a team of (no loanees) dubs schar lascelles lejeune longstaff ki hayden perez almiron EDIT: also of course not as good as above or fitting the age thing but still considered part of the group yedlin dummett atsu ritchie shelvey that's a squad with age on it's side and development potential that he might want to stick around and work with given some additional resources (which as we all know is key) point being, he's put 3 years graft into that, he's unlikely to want to walk away from it imo
-
ah yeah i see
-
desperate for him to perform well and get on the scoresheet today...hate it when a talented player new to a club (esp us obvs) just doesn't quite hit the ground running, he was class at the weekend so want to see that built on to stand him and us in good stead for the rest of the season
-
True, although I still think injuries are more down to luck than anything else. really? major ones sure but since rafa came we've been a different club in terms of repeat, niggling stuff that has fucked us my entire time supporting the club i would suggest a major part of that is his rotation/fitness policy
-
gone within 2 years imo
-
leicester will regret that that in a year or two imo
