  5. this troubles me too, if they even try a little we're dead
  6. come on barca! although i don't think they'll do it
  7. people do forget he could finish, with the best of them - his pace got him into positions but he was a wonderful finisher early doors what's happened to him is he's lost everything else he had AND his finishing - at least strikers like shearer kept their ability to score
  8. Absofuckinglutely. This is key, there is just so much work to do, there is no time for sitting back mauling things over, having a break, then finally making the decision on who will be the permenant manager some time in late June early July. But why do I get the impression that that's exactly what will happen ? aye i want our team to be signed at the start of the season in time for the 1st game, none of this before the transfer window shuts s***, really players should be signed so that they start pre-season training, that gives you better preparation no, no, no, don't you know it's haaaaaard to sign players these days? it can only be done right before the window, apparently If you were a Chairman of a club why would you sell a player a month before the window ends? as opposed to selling him hours before it end and having that amount of time to find a replacement? yep, that's logic for you fact is the clubs willing to spend the money don't f*** about do they? they sign the players at the value(s) asked or walk away if the value is too high and look at another target early doors Like Man U and Berbatov, how many weeks before the end of the window did he sign? oh come on dude, you're not really comparing the situations are you? when they NEED a player, i.e. have a gaping hole in their squad they don't wait until the last day of the window to sign him man u held the power in the berbatov deal 'cause they DIDN'T need him as they'd just pissed the league and hadn't lost any players - all parties knew this including berbatov & ferguson but spurs had to sell as he was going to be a disruptive force in the squad when not given his move we, on the other hand, have massive holes all over our squad that can be filled by vast numbers of players better than we have already - the first asking price too high? move on and get the next guy in for pre-season or wait until the end of the window again, yeah lets have a s***/empty squad again 'cause man u paid a fortune for berbatov near the end of the window, THIS must be the secret to their success All chairmen hold out till the last minute, it makes business sense. Why do you think there's so many transfers at the end of the window? Coincidence? Laziness? Hah. no, no they don't man plenty of deals take place well before the window, i'd easy say 50%+, they just don't make the headlines on super sky sports - wouldn't mind seeing stats on the number of deals done personally again, pay your money you get your player; we're in the shit 'cause we did neither and allowed the system to fuck us a number of times...time to work the system not let the system work us is what i'm saying Its all well doing the "hold out till the last minute, it makes business sense" when your looking to buy Berbatov to add to Rooney,Ronaldo,Tevez etc, but when like us you get to the last day needing players to go right into the 1st team its just stupid and theres no money to be saved as clubs know how desperate you are wow, you made sense! imagine that
  9. to be fair it's mainly down to the injuries that weren't his fault No it isn't. what is it then.. ? " he didn't want to be here in the first place" maybe ? I've got to agree with TRon here, to the extent that he isn't finished due to injuries that we're 'not his own fault' - he's finished due to the massive injury that he picked up by choosing to go the last World Cup when he had missed six months of the previous season and was clearly unfit, and cost us his services for amost the full next season. If anything the little t*** owes us an extra season for nowt. agree with this and Tron - he actually admitted it publicly in an interview too, that he rushed himself back from the broken foot to make england i hate the man How dare a player rush himself back to play for his national side. Its almost as if he felt some form of pride playing for his country, what a twat. Now onto the next world cup where everyone has a go at the players for "not caring enough". Brilliant. honestly
  10. can't see how you can say that man, i just can't - hate FS myself for being the mouthy buffoon he is but the club is number one, not the person running it then again i presume you mean never set foot in SJP while he's in charge rather than never again?
  11. To be fair to Oba, he's been struggling with this groin/hernia problem for most of this season. He's also been struggling due to his lack of a brain and the required ability needed to be a top level striker. This - On the nail....10m wasted. 7 mil less than Owen though. That makes it OK then? You could use that excuse for every single member of our squad. i can't believe this s***, how have we "wasted" 10m on martins? he was bought at 22 or something and his goals kept us up in his first season as i recall it he's suffered with from as the team have diminished down to the bare bones of crap and yet he's still the player we'll get the most money for when sold who remains in the squad - he's got more desire to play for the shirt and the club than most anyone else and is our top scorer this season i think? "wasted" get a grip When did I say it was £10m wasted? I said that using the fact that he was cheaper than Owen and therefore good business is stupid. But thanks for making up my opinion for me. howay man, get a grip - read back to the post you replied to from merlin who said it was wasted, i was replying to the chain where you seemed to concur that it was wasted in post #1368
