Good to be made certain Sterling should not be dropped. Thanks, Crumps.

He was extremely good, lot of really good aspects to his game. LOVE a random post-WC signing by Prem teams I wish we'd still do that, even if our track record isn't the best.

Liverpool apparently after the Korean keeper
  6. FIFA paid Maradona - and other "legends" (including Wes Brown) - £10k for each match they attended

Ochoa is easily my favorite WC keeper of those I've seen play. His saves against Brazil in 2014, and him putting up a wall against Germany in this one, man. That guy deserved a better club career than he got.

Penalty shootout wins will trump most of that like As I just mentioned, there's three keepers that arguably had a better shootout performance. Two of which advanced. Subasic in general has perhaps been one of the better goalkeepers in this tournament, if not the best so far.

Again, name a better performance. It's not fucking hard, apparently. There must be so much competition... Better performance in general - or best save? If performance in general, there's tons. Pickford had so little to do in the match, man Name them then. Jesus. Goalkeepers. Has to be spelled out. There's literally too many to mention. Pickford made one amazing "save". There were only four shots at goal from Colombia over the entire 120 minutes. How that turns into "goalkeeping performance of the tournament" is beyond me. Schmeichel, Akinfeev and Subasic did better as penalty stoppers as well. If I need to name one performance, then Subasic vs Iceland, for instance had some great keeper moments.

Best keeper cos of one brilliant save? He's barely had anything else to do yet Literally save of the tournament and amazing save for the penalty. Nowt. If it wasn't going in I'd not class it as save of the tournament tbh. Fine. Kid did nowt. Then he can be 2nd best keeper after Schmeicel for losing a shootout then? That works I guess. What did he save if the ball wasn't going in? I'll be honest, the replays I've seen are not clear. From what I've seen he tips it onto the outside of the post. If that's wrong then fine but he showed remarkable speed and agility to even get to it. Better than anything else I've in the tournament. Also as stated the technique from the Colombian was fucking nuts and it didn't go in so then I guess he deserves no credit either. Come on man. Name a better keeping performance. Go on. If it was going in it was the save of the tournament so far. I'm just saying it wouldn't be, by definition, if it wasn't going in no matter if he reached it or not. In short, I'm being a pedantic cunt 'cause I'm bored.
  12. Translated tweet is great: "Contract | A ✍ company that officially hires a French central player, Johan Cappy, next to the English Crystal Club, in a two-season contract, and the player will wear the 7th ? shirt."
  13. The button though. What is the point of that To make it look better, for one. Are you joking? It ruins the kit imo. They've done it on Man City's home kit this season and it completely ruins the kit. Just put a longer collar with more buttons in or just don't have any at all. Horrid Not a fan of the NUFC 1996 grandad collar I assume? In hindsight, I worded that awfully. "Longer collar with more buttons" ffs. It was the "longer collar" that put me off tbh I don't mind buttons, be it one or two or three - as long as they're done well. And I think the Monaco one was done well, just different tastes there between you and I

Yep. Horrid behaviour from the audience, who paid to be there instead of watching the match.
  22. To simplify the concept even more: Guy represents Brand A. During official representation of Brand A, guy wears equipment displaying Brand B. In pretty much all rep deals that’s not allowed. You’d not be allowed to show up in Adidas to an official event where you’re meant to represent Nike. You’d not be allowed to use a Microsoft Surface to run your presentation from at an apple Keynote. It shouldn’t be allowed in International football to showcase another nation on your equipment when you’re representing another, no matter the reasoning. That’s the fucking point I’m making. (Whilst the examples above would have it in a work contract, you are effictively employed by your FA when representing your nation and your FA follows FIFA rules and restrictions. I’m saying I think FIFA should put it in their rules regarding equipment that you can’t brandish other nations flags/logos on your shit when representing a nation.) With that, I’m out of this discussion - to the certain joy of tons of people
