Play the last group games over 2 days (8 per day at 4 time slots 1, 3, 6 & 9 or something) then there's a 3 day break before the last 16 and time for people to sort travel You know where the games will be played, you'd just not know which teams will play - which you don't really know now either, as it could be any of 16 outcomes from two groups going into the round of 16, for instance.

Yeah, he's easily a Prem player (for the weaker sides). The question would naturally is if we're to be one of them or sell him to bring in a replacement that helps us advance. Whereas the answer will be selling him and regressing with a player that's not as good, but is cheap.

Never been a big Ritchie fan, so if we were a normal club that would upgrade on him after selling I’d be all for it. I doubt we’ll upgrade, if anything we’ll buy a young’un on the cheap at either less or equal ability - but potential to sell on for a profit if it works out well.

Yep, this is where I am as well But I'd like to add it has some way to go until it's actually seamless in its implementation. These are growing pains. To put it in context, without VAR my rage would be tons higher at the many missed calls by the refs than the few missed VARs. I’ve only properly raged twice this WC vs the usual million times.
