  2. Draw between Croatia and Scotland and a 2-0 or more Spain win (or if Spain loses) and Finland goes through. Not impossible.

    Copa America

It would be the 10 South American teams + USA and Mexico, which is what they usually have anyway.

    Copa America

Because if you don't have 12 teams you can't have three groups of four and end up with two groups of five and 8 out of 10 teams advancing. They always have guests, I love when the US is one.
  5. Great news, but this one reply on Twitter: "Great news but why aren’t we all fitted with one incase that happens to us ?" I mean, people don't want vaccines but they want an ICD fitted in their healthy hearts?
  6. England is doing an England, shoehorning in players that doesn't really work together and doing an either/or between players like Foden and Graelish. Just put out the players that form the best team and have the best chemistry, you don't need to put the 11 biggest names out there at the same time.
  7. There couldn't have been more time. Rafa's people approached NUFC and that approach is what led to McClaren being sacked. Without Rafa stating his interest, we'd likely have seen the season out with McClaren.
  8. Hate to be a party pooper but that wasn't a pen.
  9. Ball hadn't gone and Isak would've made uit easily at his pace, foot got stuck by Dubs and he flopped to the ground, doesn't make it less of a penalty. Reckless tackle as well, freekick any day outside the box so penalty any day inside the box. And also, yes. You could actually get a penalty against you if a player not involved in play did something that breaks the rules of play against another player not involved in play. The ball wouldn't need to be in the box even if the incident happened inside it.
  10. Because he denied the Swede a clear goalscoring opportunity. Clearest pen I've seen in ages and I wanted the Slovaks to win.
  11. Their main issue is, understandably enough, that he ridiculed them and called them a small club. I think if that hadn't happened their opposition to him wouldn't be as massive as it is now.
  12. Just realized Lubomir Satka is playing for Slovakia.
  13. Made a post a while back regarding how it's seemingly only the PL that can't utilize VAR correctly and the 'cause simply has to be that the PL refs are dogshit.
  14. He's off to Nice, it's why he resigned in the first place.
  15. I am so sad we didn't get to witness Gattuso managing in the PL.
  16. Solution: Stop talking about there being two threads. Post and discuss positive rumours in the positive one, similar to how it's done betweem the Twitter Rumours vs Transfer Rumours threads. Discuss more realistic/pessimistic news in the other thread. Stay on topic. Don't discuss posters or the threads. Just discuss the actual takeover. Simple.
  17. Gattuso in the PL? Pour that shit straight into my veins.
  18. If we'd been taken over quicker I believe Rafa would've been here now. We're not though, ad it would be unfair if Rafa couldn't take what would essentially be his dream job from a personal perspective, living in Liverpool with his family - his main priority. Now he can combine his personal life with his professional life in a way he's wanted for a long time. I don't even know if given the choice between us and Everton that Rafa would choose us.
  19. One corner away from ÂŁ326, story of my EC bets so far - close but no fucking wins.
  20. Carew said it's happening.
  21. His family lives in Liverpool, so taking the Everton job is fairly obvious for him from a personal perspective I imagine.
  22. As sad as it is, that turnaround and victory might be the absolute highlight of Norwegian sports. It's always voted best sport moment. I was 8 at the time and started practicing penalties pretending to be Kjetil Rekdal besting Taffarel all the time. Penalties are the best.
  23. “I don’t know whether he’ll ever play football again,” he added. “Without putting it too bluntly, he died today, albeit for a few minutes, but he did die and would the medical profession allow him to die again? The answer is no. “I think a Football Association will be very strict about whether he plays again or not. In the UK he wouldn’t play. We’d be very strict about it.”
