This just feels like Wissa all over again, just a more condensed version as we’ve only got a few days left.
-
I’m talking about experienced pros that can go straight into the team now.
-
It would be nice if we used our scouts to come up with a bargain. I was watching Munoz on Sunday, they bought him for £8m from Genk at 27 years old and he’d walk into most teams in the league. Why can’t we make signings like that?
-
I think if we had Sorloth in the team we would be on 6 points right now. Why fuck around trying to get players that aren’t available when there are options out there that are just as good? Obviously he isn’t a world beater or a long term answer to the Isak problem, but he could get us CL. You would say the same for Larsen and Wissa.
-
There isn’t a point really. Competition is being smothered in the premier league, but if you go around Europe it’s as bad or worse. Most leagues are like F1 at its worst, just a procession. It’s only going to get worse as well.
-
One of the dumbest things you’ll see this season.
-
Do we have a set piece coach?
-
Liverpool aggrieved that their fouls are being called. Babies.
-
Commentator is gasping for a soft yellow.
-
He’s calling Uche a striker, which he isn’t. He’s a midfielder with 4 career goals.
-
Our striker targets have all been star players at premier league clubs, Ekitike who we’ve been after for 14 years, and Sesko who everyone wanted because he’s been hyped beyond belief. I can’t get my head around what conversations have been taking place.
-
Surely they want to stay in the league though.
-
Positive noises from who? An agent?
-
I feel like for whatever reason Jackson and Sorloth are no goes. Meanwhile Wissa and Strand Larsen aren’t available. It’s all coming up Gordon for the foreseeable future.
-
This feels like when we lobbed a bid in for Elanga last summer, he was never going to be available at that point in the window. Looking at it from a Wolves and Brentford perspective, selling would be stupid. Meanwhile Chelsea actually want to sell Jackson.
-
What were they talking about that was positive, where everyone went on their holidays?
-
I think it’s hard for Respect FC to put on pressure at this point in the window given our circumstances. If they wanted him they should’ve been bidding 130+ in June. Instead they went another route getting him to go on strike to drive down the price, which doesn’t look like it has worked. I’m wondering if they even want him at this point or if they’re looking for a way to get out of it without looking like the club that burned his career. My prediction is that they put in one more bid that they know will get rejected.

They’ve got loads of CB’s and LB’s. The market is fucked.
-
I thought we had already had a few negative answers on Wissa. I suppose if it’s a no we can just come back in a few days for another answer.
-
They’re a lickspittle club. There’s no way they would post that if they sold a player to us.
-
I thought both sides looked poor, it looked like a bog standard bottom half game.

Lovely stuff.

He only really useful off the bench against tired legs.
