It would make it a lot harder for us to sign him if Liverpool bought him though, we might have to wait until next summer to put another bid in.
-
I suspect our transfer strategy is broken due to the changes at boardroom level, and we may have lost the people that can force deals through. We’ll see though, I’d love to be wrong.
-
The shirt designs for next season feel malicious.
-
Nobody is buying that tediocrity.
-
I think Pedro playing between Isak and a Tonali/Bruno midfield could be transformative. I just don’t understand how we expect to get everything we need at these prices without making a sale. It seems unrealistic.
-
My only concern with regards to letting him go would be the HG quota, but I would also be looking Krul and Forster to help that. It looks like we won’t be doing that. Ideally I would sell Longstaff and actually use our scouts to find a cheap young player that could develop into something good. And I would sell Willock to fund a proper 4th choice midfielder that we can rely on. Willock has 2 years left and Longstaff has one, if they don’t have a long term future then you sell now. It’s time to sell or give new contracts.

We should be stalking them Chelsea-style to see who they’re after as replacements.
-
Shocking appointment that,
-
I’d have Semenyo but he has the same problem Elanga, Pedro etc have, he’ll cost at least 50m, probably more like 60.
-
They’ll never go on strike. The sport is full of players trying to negotiate pay rises from clubs that lose huge amounts of money. I don’t think they would get the response they want.
-
If I’m honest I’m slightly pessimistic based on the limited info we have. If we haven’t made a signing by the end of June I’ll move to worried status. I’m not sure who is running things in terms of bringing in players at the club right now given all the changes at executive level, and we’re mainly getting linked to players that seem unattainable, or only attainable if we decide to do half the business we need to do. My hope is that we’re doing things on the quiet like we have in the past.
-
Players need to start putting playing time restrictions in their contract, problem is clubs will respond by offering less money. I’m not sure players would accept a 10% pay cut in return for a 10% cut in games.
-
Grealish stinks of West Ham to me. We won’t be considering him, I’m sure of that.
-
I’m struggling to make sense of things, I’m just hoping the media have got it all wrong.
-
Kudus would be great under Howe and can play RW and in midfield. Problem as ever is how we pay for a star player from a premier league team.
-
Worst comes to worst we can just sell him to Juventus.
-
I recall an assumption that Staveley didn’t know what she was doing and as she wasn’t surrounded by proper football men she would fuck it up, so every little thing was being jumped on. She made them look like dickheads in the end, not that they’ll admit it.
-
Forest have more PSR headroom than us according to the athletic.
-
Given that I can’t see a reasonably priced replacement that is as good as him in the premier league, and we have enough on our plate with the various holes in our squad, I’d rather just not sell.
-
Maignan would be a huge signing for them, Sanchez was possibly the worst first choice keeper in the league last year.
-
He’s been getting a lot of negative press for this but to me it sounds like a reasonable thing to do.
-
With all the extra games we’ll need a deep squad though. If we don’t add proper depth this summer I’ll be expecting a really inconsistent season and big problems with injuries.
-
If it was just £40m and done then I wouldn’t complain. I’m guessing we’re about £20m apart in valuation though and can see this becoming a Guehi type saga.
-
I doubt Forest would even accept £50m, I think they’ll push for 60. They’re fine with regards to PSR as far as I’m aware.
