  1. You honestly couldn't make this up, what a blow to them! excited to read that whole thread This is almost as good as the two "bilbao black cats" mackams who's entire existence was to promote love between Sunderland and Bilbao only for Bilbao to make a whole video montage celebrating their friendship with us.
  2. Whatever it takes to win really, out side this club other teams hate everything about it us and if we can beat them while also pissing them off a bit i won't mind that one bit.
  3. Absolute Monster, he does everything except be a goal threat, was hoping he goes for it when Mendy was after him.
  4. Most underrated player in the league right now, it seems like only we talk about how good he is .
  5. He runs with so much more purpose now, its making such a difference that he isn't doubting himself when attacking the other teams.
  6. Ran out of words to describe him this season, i am starting to worry for him though with the amount of head injuries he gets, seems like every game he's about to be knocked out at least once.
  7. Right decision not to bring him on but its crazy that we have him and yet we can't find a place for him because of how in-form everyone else is.

Fantastic once again today, he is so fast other players really struggle to catch up with him, shame the break came at a time when he was hittign some real form.
  9. League one striker this guy, so far behind the rest of the team.
  10. Wood is miles away from the quality of the rest
  11. Ben Arfa used to get similar hate with people preferring Gouffran and some other random players over him, some fans just don't want to enjoy football
  12. He's only just started playing at premier league level this season, i would be concerned if he's like this next year or the year after. the more minutes he gets the hope is he will get better as i feel right now what's holding him back is that he is too eager to impress and trying too hard when he gets a chance, once he calms down and gets more experience we will see the best of him.
  13. The best of the best miss penalties and for both him and Sven it's probably a good thing they've missed it at a game like this which we ended up winning anyway. they will learn from it and get better.
  14. Would actually rest all of the full team if possible, the other players aren't getting as many chances and they look rusty when called upon Karuis Manquillo Lascelles Botman Targett Anderson Shelvey Joelinton Fraser Wood Maximin
  15. He is the X factor in our team, his quality on and off the ball is incredible.
  16. The fact that we have him and he's our third choice for the position at the moment is incredible, very good luxury to not have to rush him because he's the only player that can make things happen and looking forward to seeing more of him on Wednesday.
  17. He is getting fitter and sharper with every game! you can see the Steve Bruce effect fading week by week. probably doesn't want the season to stop at the moment.
  18. He came on at the right time and did the right things today, hopefully that will set him up nicely for a start on Wednesday.
  19. Was just coming to post this, i think he is to be honest, the only one i think might have a chance to challenge him would be Hakimi?
  20. It was a fantastic finish and its one of the very few times i see him kick a ball like he's a striker since he's joined us, overall thought he was sloppy and had quite a few chances to put our players in good positions but didn't. hopefully he'll look sharper on Wednesday.

amazing energy once again today, and he finally got the goal his performances deserve.
  22. It was either his worst game for us or he got tired of dominating other teams and was giving himself little challenges today.
  23. The Idea that this is all about "sportswashing" sound silly to me, PIF didn't buy us to improve their image nor do they care much about doing so as they know it doesn't really matter what they do to change the perception. Yasir said clearly in a recent interview that they looked at it as a smart investment, in his words they looked at what a club like Chelsea is worth and realized that by buying us they could get ten times the value when they sell, plus the marketing opportunities that the club represents, they seem to be calculated investors looking at the long term rather than the short term. which is exactly what we need as a football club and as a city. To me the only metric i really have for them is how they run the club and what decisions they make related to it. anything else doesn't concern me one bit. and at the moment everything they've done for this club has been overwhelmingly positive and i couldn't have asked for better owners.
  24. Not only is his defending imperious but his ability on the ball is outstanding. having him and Schar allows us to use the whole pitch to play.
  25. His work rate and ability to win 50-50's really does remind me of Dembele that used to play for Tottenham, you just can't take the ball off him. his touch in the first half for the shot was incredible too.
