Player of the Season : Cabaye. Others have been more noticeable, but he's been the most pivotal in changing the culture of the club, imo. Most Disappointing Player : Tiote. Very inconsistent the entire season. A few massive performances, but far too many more where he was sloppy with the ball and reckless in the tackle. Best Game Attended : Fulham v. Wisla Krakow at the Cottage Best Result : 3-0. Man U. SJP. Goal Of The Season: Cisse making the field of physics obsolete against Chelsea. Best Signing: Cisse Best Prospect: I suppose Santon, but it is difficult to call someone who has played that many senior games in two different top leagues a prospect. Ferguson and Abeid look like they will be players if given time. Best Solo Performance: Ben Arfa v. West Brom. It is hard for me to remember a match where one player on our side was so far superior to everyone else on the pitch.

I hope Montpellier can hold the draw here. It should be all they need. They have Auxerre next weekend, who will already be relegated if current results stand.

man utd have earned their titles, man city have been handed theirs. I've had this discussion before, many times. Man U would have earnt their title because they won a ridiculous amount in the past and this has given them more money and a bigger base than everyone else. Sorry, I enjoy a bit of upward mobility in the game, however it comes about. Titles are won on the pitch and the players representing this club performed better than anyone else.

Preventing Manchester United from winning anything would make me like just abut anyone.

I saw that, what a t*** Like the guy, but he couldn't even bother to bring a flag. Every single other African player does this, but not boy wonder. It Angers me.

I don't understand why the interviewers feel the need to ask these complex questions to the foreign players who have just learned English.
-
Chelsea to get revenge on Overbo and Luis Garcia in the course of a few weeks? They've had a ridiculous season.
-
Chelsea have stopped playing. Did this last game as well, just casually walking around and giving the ball away.
-
Drogba manages to injure his dick at least two or three time per match. It is absolutely ridiculous.
-
The video is sped up, btw. I think so, anyway.
-
If it were any of the other "top" teams in England, the game would have been over at 3-2. Arsenal are always so open, all of the time. The equaliser was so simple.
-
I guarantee Arsenal still win this. I've seen this too many times before. Van Persie 90+4.
-
Arsenal will score at least five goals between now and the end.
-
Chamberlain needs to learn the art of the early cross or holding up play instead of just taking the man with pace.
-
I'm still convinced this guy will come good next season. I've been watching his whole career, the move to England hasn't rendered him useless within 20 yards of the goal, I'm sure. Must be confidence.

Every player on that list could have played for an African nation, was born in an African nation, or was conceived by African parents. People like Onuoha and Welbeck do not play for African nations, but they are obviously connected to the continent.
-
London already has too many stadiums. They should just pay a fee to the UK and use Wembley which is also in West London. This is much more cost effective.
-
Scored a few recently as well, will be quite cheap assuming they go down(havent checked the table for a few weeks) They are bottom, but if he keeps scoring the way he has, they'll stand a very good chance of surviving. He's off at the end of the season anyway. Good player, great athlete, but certainly not the quality of Real Madrid, as it was suggested.

I remember during the relegation season, people were enraged that players were going out and spending their money in places like Tiger Tiger (if the one is Newcastle is like London, they were wasting their earnings), as if young professionals with large amounts of disposable income are going to sit at the home all day because their team lost. On a side note, I hate people who go anc cause trouble at the clubs. Pushing, yelling and all of this. One of the main reasons I rarely go out. One person brings a knife or a gun and everyone wants to act sad around the time of the funeral.
-
People talk about great finishers to compare this boy too, but that goal yesterday was more of Tony Yeboah or Oba at his very (confident) best then any thing else. Just the explosive African striker who will smack the ball from anywhere because he has the utmost belief that it will ripple the net. We have a great player, here. I don't think that he is as good as he as shown, because no one in the history of football is actually that good, but he is the kind of footballer who will always be a goal threat and will go through runs of confidence where is on top of the world. What a gem.

Will we qualify for the Champions League? Sadly not...
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Rich's topic in Football
No we will not. We have two extremely difficult fixtures and Spurs have two very easy ones. Bolton are gone, imo, and West Brom have no interest. Manchester City are the most talented team in your country by a noticeable margin, imo, and Everton are playing fantastically of late. They won't want to stop. -
As bad as Liverpool have been, they are likely to achieve the exact same result from their season as Newcastle/Spurs and/or Chelsea, while having collected one or two pieces of silverware along the way. This angers me more than anything. Our team is better and deeper, and we haven't even been competitive in the cups for some time now.

Chelsea vs Newcastle United - 02/05/12 @ 7.45pm - pre-match thread
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Dave's topic in Football
They rested Ramires, Drogba, Raul M, and Mikel Obi at the weekend, all of whom have been starters recently. I think we can expect all of these to come into their team against us. The likes of Lampard and Cole might sit, though. The thought of Ben Arfa against whoever they replace Cole with (Ferreira?, Bertand?) is salivating. -
I am laughing at people who are predicting the match by looking at the teamsheet when we were raped by a team starting Shaun Maloney and Franco Di Santo just two days ago.

Cant call up Vicky though He chose Nigeria? He is on decent form, but he has to do quite a bit to dispel the trail of rubbishness that he has left in his wake for the past few seasons. He shouldn't be in the first team of either country at this point in time, imo, definitely not a superior one in England. I cannot believe people want to call him up, btw, everyone was calling him useless about a month ago. Even if he doesn't lose his job he's off to a nightmare start. You'd hope fans and media would be understanding about the whole thing though. I will give you a project to find examples in the past where fans and media of a national team have been understanding about anything. You will fail miserably. Those who are most passionate about the international game do not deal in the long-term for some reason.
