Shola is SHOLA, though. He is NUFC. Doyle is just some random rubbish player from Eire Land. If we are going to be employing below average footballers, I'd prefer if they were at least ones the supporters had an affinity for.

So true. Still can't believe Marseille paid €18 million for him. The price is an absurdity, but he is a good centre forward, imo. I think he will do very well if OM can add quality around him. Remy has been disappointing, and even Brandao has been loaned out after his rape. There was a slow start to his career, but he's shown well of late, imo. And what about Sow? Do you think he is better than Gignac? Sow is good but he only arrived this year in lille so i don't think he will move. To know if Sow is better than gignac, we have to wait and see what he'll do next season. But don't forget that Sow is in a very good team so maybe it is more simple for him to score numerous goals. However, he scored some brilliant goals this season. Sow is the best striker in France right now. I wish NUFC could sign him along with Hazard, but it will take a lot of financial exertion. Gignac is also in a good team, mimi. OM are three points behind Lille, won two trophies last season and our in good position to win the same two trophies this term. It is not an excuse. Doyle is a nothing player. I'd only want him if he could somehow be acquired for free.

This match is cocaine-fueled. I have no idea what has happened to Arsenal's defence.

Getafe arethe ones that sold their soul to Burger King last year, no?

I don't know if you have heard, but 25 year old Nigeria international Olubayo Adefemi, who played for Xanthi, has died in a car accident in Greece. He was en route to Nigeria to complete wedding plans. It is a story that has made me very unhappy. Bayo was never a great talent and struggled in his club career, but always gave everything that he had for his country. Was an integral part of two great youth sides in WYC Netherlands 2005 and Beijing 2008, and performed well for the senior team in his appearances. Awful to lose such a good young man in an abrupt and unnecessary way. RIP to a true warrior and a true Nigerian. http://www1.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Olympics+Day+11+Football+hMrJfaBpflel.jpg http://www3.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/France+v+Nigeria+International+Friendly+L51aoQE4EaGl.jpg http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/25035adefemi%20olubayo.jpg

Ligue 1 race title race has become extremely tight now. Lille have only managed a point in their last two (they missed Gervinho yesterday, as he was stupidly sent off in the last match. Moussa Sow scored, though.), and OM have cut the lead to a point after a tight victory from a Taiwo penalty (). Lyon-PSG tonight is massive if OL have any intention of putting a fight towards the title.

Didn't watch any of this, but it genuinely disgusts me how Chelsea and Arsenal have given the title to Man U with so little resistance. Arsenal allowed four consecutive goals to a team with Ranger, Best, and Lovenkrands upfront ffs. Just a disgraceful attempt from the two London teams this season.

This is actually fairly probable. All of the world's fastest footballers would have very close and nearly identical speeds. It would be the same in athletic events like 100M. All should be approaching the upper bound of physical possibility.
-
It's mental how everyone at Arsenal and Wigan are within 1 MPH of each other. They're all nearly the exact same speed. Guthrie is second fittest in the entire league.
-
Yup, would be a stupid transfer for this reason. We're better off looking for the 'next Odemwingie', especially because he's pushing 30 isn't he? Yeah, I think he'll be 30 during next season. Would be difficult to sign the "next Odemwingie" anyway. He might be the best Uzbek-African footballer in history. Anyway that Liverpool gives us Insua as part of any Enrique deal? This I would be alright with.
-
I was saying before the season that I would love Odemwingie here, but honestly it would be quite annoying to pay 5-10 times the price West Brom have just bought him for. We easily could have purchased him before, as it was a position we lacked even before selling Carroll. Guthrie, Gosling, and Taylor make me very wary of Scouse leftovers.

Tedious? How about folk who watch virtually no Spanish football then suddenly become experts after watching El Clasico. This reminds of all the World Cup-only fans around here who were trying to debate me about " The Reel-Barka game" today. Everyone wants to pretend they know something. In the interests of balance, Milito's goal was a bit offside as well. There were many questionable and difficult decisions, but the red card was just so inexplicable that it stands out. I'll admit that I've hated Barca since the referees gifted them the CL two years ago. I have no idea why. I liked them before and was very happy when they won in 2006 CL/La Liga.
-
Motta's one last year is almost irrelevant as it was a joke of decision not too dissimilar to the favours that Barca was given at the same stage of the competition the year before. There is nothing any manager can do to prevent that.
-
Like all of Inter's matches in the Champions League last term? Enough of this nonsense. Tedious.
-
I do not see why anyone has a problem with this. It is no different than players asking for any other decision. When someone kicks you, you ask for a foul. When someone kicks you repeatedly or with excessive force, you ask for a card. If this actually has an influence on any referee, that person should be relieved of their employment.
-
Fool. It was a tight match that could have gone either way and was irreparably changed by Albiol's poor decision. Real have done well here.
-
Why is Alves still on the pitch?
-
YESS!!!!

While the man shows a tendency towards arrogance in the social aspects of his life, he is clearly not confident at all on the football pitch. I feel sorry for him, really. He needs to gain it, but I worry that he is too confident in the other aspects of life to accept help from his peers.

This does not strike me as an extraordinarily high price for the top level seat at an entertainment event, especially ones which will sell out regardless of what they charge. If they are attracting customers, then why complain?
