  1. If I was playing, I would take issue with someone taunting me like that. There would certainly be a reaction. It's not acceptable sporting behaviour. There is no reason to portray it as sour grapes from Arsenal. It was also more than a "tap" tbh. Bowyer was sprinting at fullspeed and thrust his head down at a time when Koscielny wouldn't have been expecting it. It's something he definitely would have felt.
  2. It's not that the players decline that quickly or stop being good at this age. The problem is that players who experience injury or lack of form at this stage of their careers are much less likely to recover. It would be a very different situation if HBA was Barton's age.
  3. I'm sure Ashley communicates all of his innermost thoughts and plan to Keegan. The two of them must be very close after his time at the club. Annoying that he would insert himself into a situation where he has very little relevance.
  4. The commentators, including Souness, were rubbishing Sczenssnyt. I was surprised tbh, thought that blame was almost entirely on the Frenchman. Had to be really, if the keeper called for it then it's his and the defender should be staying away from it. Without that interference I sure he would have got the ball cleanly. There was no pressure as well. Oba was so perfectly placed to finish because he decided not to chase the lost cause. There was plenty of time to handle the situation calmly and orderly. Really nervous play.

  6. He's been back in England for less than a month and has won more silverware than this club has in a generation. I can understand the frustration. I like Femi, so I am happy for him. He seems to be enjoying himself after 2.5 years in the darkness. I'm just glad he didn't score against us, like most ex players.
  7. Three very class players. Wish Bolton would get back to employing such magicians. Did Masch leave in January? I know Pardew couldn't find any use for him. Also, Kanu. Remember Kanu.
  8. Tevez and Macherano could probably claim starting positions on a survived on the last day team.
  9. I knew this was going to happen. It was inevitable. Pleased for Birmingham, they completely deserved it. At least they can drop Szczensy for Almunia...Fabianksi...err.... but still, at least if Koscielny needs a few games out they can bring in Squillaci...erm...Vermaelen...oh s***. Vermaelen is class tbf man. I have o idea why Wenger has thought Squill would be a good player.
  10. We all do. I just have absolutely no idea what next season will bring, we could progress, but just as likely a few bollocks dropped in the transfer market and we could tumble down the leagues again. It would be bloody miracle the way things have been going for a fair few years now, to just get the whole way through without a change of manager. I think just that bit of stability would be a plus for me. when was the last time we started and finnished a season in the prem with the same manager? Robson possibly? Was pretty stunned when someone brought it up a few weeks back. What about Roeder in 2006-2007? I know we replaced him afterward, but I feel like he was there until the end (when nothing was at stake).
  11. Diawara's time in England was an atrocity. He looked terrible. It is shocking when you consider how well he's done for himself in France.
  12. What did you find particularly class about Heinze today? He was calm, solid, and petulant. He is this way most of the time. Brandao is always rubbish. Drogba's mentally deficent Brazilian cousin. Arsenal have been just as good as Man U. I hope they win it.
  13. Good result from the Velodrome. I think we can score one goal in the very friendly atmosphere at OT, especially if Gignac is back fit. Man U don't scare me at all.
  14. I remember the first game against Bolton. Charles scoring from a freekick and two great goals from Femi with back flips included. Allardyce conquering his old club and Newcastle looking like world beaters. By the time we were to play Bolton again, much had changed. Optimism was in the air for entirely different circumstances. The club was in decline and Sam had been thrown out, but the imminent return of Keegan lit up SJP. The cycle began again.
  15. This tends to happen when you sell your second and third most creative players for very little, play without your best striker, and leave the best attacking defender on the bench, Deschamps.
  16. Reflecting back, I don't think there is anything wrong with what I have said, but I regret having mentioned it. Let me distract you with photos of two of my favourite women's players. http://www.womensoccer.com/gifs/newsjpgs/akide2.jpg http://i2.esmas.com/2008/11/22/22161/charlyn-corral-300x350.jpg Both are brilliant. I enjoy watching them more than I enjoy watching most players from our squad in 2006-07.
  17. I just don't understand the how her age discounts the fact that the poster found her appearance pleasing.
  18. http://www.nuwfc.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=106:alice-stroyan&catid=34:first-team&Itemid=56 After conducting some initial primary research, I can confirm this female is good. She's 15 in that photo. When you were 15, did you find 15 year old women sexually attractive? I will assume a positive response. Why would a man not find an attractive 15 year old aesthetically pleasing? Anyway, I have nothing against female football. It's just an inferior version of men's football, and this is what it will always be. One of the things that is brilliant about football is that people of all sizes and shapes can play it and be good. From what I have seen, women are not physically challenged by playing on a men's pitch with proper goals. The higher level teams can play decent stuff.
  19. Benzema scores against his old club within seconds of coming on.
  20. Maybe it's decent form for them, but last match they created absolutely nothing until Stoke's keeper dropped the ball in the last minute. Oba, Bentley, etc. are good additions, but this is still an inferior team to ours. A win is preferable and possible.
  21. The translation from pidgin Lagosian English to actual written English would not be easy for most British reporters.
  22. There is no translation for it to be lost in. Unless you count the translation from incomprehensible pidgin/broken.
  23. He was clearly injured, btw. I don't understand how people have come to conclusion that he was faking this. I mean, did he fake limping around the pitch against Boro and getting surgery in the summer?
  24. Whenever papers publish these long interviews with Oba, I struggle to imagine all of these words coming out of his mouth. I wonder who did the translation. Hate that he has decided to tell the same lie as Carroll. Is anyone foolish enough to believe that he had any intention of staying with us in the Championship? I've always liked him, but that is just a lie.
