  1. When Reina (or might have been Dudek) f***ed up and it was pissing it down? Aye, I remember Bellers scoring first. We had about 2 shots and won 2-1. Martins. Correct. Solano penalty too. Was the game after Babayaro's brother had died and he put it a top performance for us. Him and Onyewu.
  2. How? I would say they were completely at fault. It's suicide. The only person at fault is Dale Roberts. If I divorce my wife, and she kills herself, you don't blame me, you question her mental stability. Those two have only done what millions of other Britons will do this year and are doing right now.
  3. It's ridiculously harsh to actually blame the Terry man or the girl for his death. It's not their fault.
  4. It's funny how this hasn't generated as many problems in the media as the Hughton sacking. They are similar events, imo and this one is even less warranted. Personally, I am extremely pleased to see Big Sam somewhere other than managing a team I have to watch twice a season. Maybe everyone just hates him as well, and Hughton was the opposite.
  5. That much? He's a fully grown adult playing in the twenty-fifth best league in Europe. He should be willing to walk to Newcastle on his feet. Hearts should oblige for a pittance, frankly.
  6. Sad. So what has happened to him, then? On a much lower level of sadness, I feel for Xisco every timeI see him smiling so passionately in these types of photos or at training. Just a waste of our money and his career.
  7. At some point in the next 60 minutes, Manchester United will score and Squillaci will be at fault.
  8. That's an idiotic thing to say to the press, tbh. Keep up appearances at least.
  9. Why should Pardew not get credit?People were predicting the team would collapse when we relieved Hughton, but this was not the course of events at all. In the second half, Liverpool equalised and were beginning to dominate, when he made a substitution that changed the course of the match in our favour.
  10. It's a decent strike, but Liverpool should be embarrassed. Lucas actually backed away from him, ffs.
  11. He's been class but I can't help thinking he's one of these strikers that doesn't score goals. Hope he can add that to his game, and sharpish. He's the reinvention of a younger Emile Heskey.
  12. I knew Campbell was a terrible signing when we made it. An inadequate short term measure.
  13. Balotelli has serious psychological problems.
  14. Papa Waigo is an atrocity. I don't want him here at all.
  15. Even though they eventually won, Spain were never overly convincing at any point during the World Cup. They were being heavily criticsed for their inability to adapt as late as the Paraguay match. Del Bosque doesn't deserve that much credit, imo.
  16. It's not like he was spending massive amounts of money at all. I don't think West Ham as a club have made an eight digit transfer, and other than that odd Savio experiment they haven't come particularly close. He still made some very decent transfers as well. Especially considering that he brought them out of the championship and bringing the likes of Benayoun and Paintsil to your little country. It's actually rather similar to Hughton's. A lot of poor to average players at cheap prices to help the club fight for promotion and consolidate Premiership status. Only a few risks, and hopefully some foreign gems at low cost/risk.
  17. It's not that low for me at all. I think anyone who says it's very low for them is simply extrapolating to a level that I am not willing to go to. We've sacked a decent manager after a few poor results and replaced him another rather nondescript, average British manager. We still have the same players and a potential to do well. If we can continue consolidating our position this season and incrementally improving the squad, I will be able to live with this. As always with Ashley, it's unfortunate how he's chosen to go about it, but I am alright with the actual events that occurred.
  18. He can't have been helped by his best player sinking his teeth into another man's neck/shoulder. edit: I would absolutely love this, btw.
  19. Midtable is deceiving. We're four point above relegation zone and just had our worst defeat of the season to a fellow promoted team. We're hardly in a good place. If 4 points above the relegation places after 16 games isn't good for a newly promoted team, then what is? I would have taken it, Everton, but to infer that we are somehow comfortably in midtable is a preposterous statement. Would Chelsea be happy with second if they finished 36 points behind first? My level of contentment is decided by many other factors other than the number next to our name on the table. At Disco, I need to go to the halls for food, but mu mouth is still hanging open at the screen.
  20. Somewhat of a Keegan situation, there. Obviously weren't his player. Also, Mascherano was atrocious at first. Remember the West Ham match where Oba got his first for NUFC. It was Masch who did the Guthrie for it.
  21. Hughton spat cliched nonsense too. Their performance has very little correlation with how they speak to the media. I would definitely prefer Curbishley to Pardew, though.
