  1. Ashley Cole's attacking play is not that great. He can't cross well, he can't shoot, and his passing is average. It is hard to consider him the best in the world considering how important that position has become in an attacking sense.
  2. Mike, the US game is available on ESPN networks. Enjoy watching you nation defeat a country with a population less than NYC. Ah, it's on Classic. Thanks. Population smopulation! You do realise they use your currency, right? You basically own them.

  4. Crap, I definitely chose the wrong time to go off to the army You're only in the army for 20 days??
  5. yes No it isn't. since when? BTW I'm basing this on seeing Tony Norman sent off for Sunderland for a simple catch, way back in the day I refer you to: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/3586054.stm Sounds like a different interpretation to me What do you mean? Well what we have here is examples of both a yellow card and a red card given for the same offence. Who's to say which is right, unless you can produce a rule of course It's treated exactly the same as any handball. Page 110: http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/federation/81/42/36/lotg_en.pdf It's not though. The vast majority of handballs are just freekicks. If a keeper tocuhes the ball out of the box, he's lucky to escape with a yellow card.
  6. England's lack of depth and talent up front and in goal is what is stopping them from being one of the world's elite teams. The situation in goal has been bad for some time now.
  7. Ameobi? You all trying to give me nigthmares? I would love it if Onuoha played for the nation of his birth though. I rate him highly.
  8. Probaly exactly what will happen, probaly just about right tbh. Still, this is the kind of thing that needs to be further exposed. You look at things like this, the Mikel Obi saga (dirty from all sides), and the dealings with minors (especially poor kids from South America and Africa and you realise there is a deeper problem we probaly don't knoe the full story of.
  9. This is a terrible idea. The rules of footgball are perfect and fine. The enforcement of these rules by incompetent officials is the problem. Fair point, I realised it was a bit leftfield! Referees do have a difficult time though, I suppose they could rectify it by only giving penalties if they were 100% sure they had seen a foul... but they would need to be backed up by their bosses and assessors. I have a feeling that as soon as managers started whinging that they weren't getting penalties they would end up losing matches and getting dropped from the Premier League list. What I don't understand is why everyone is so slow and reluctant to act on divers? And managers, WTF is Wenger doing appealing against Eduardo's ban? It doesn't benefit anyone - even teams that win the occasional penalty will have a number of unjust ones given against them for the same reason, surely? What he's doing is protecting his player from this ridiculous situation that has been created solely by the SFA's reaction (an insignificant association in the large scale of football tbh) and a weak UEFA. He would rather one of his better players be available for him to use. If everyone was going around commiting murder, getting caught and getting cautioned (yellow carded), then I was caught and given twenty years, I'd be slightly aggrieved. It really is unfair.
  10. Le Havre actually aren't involved in this situation at all. It's Lens, a much bigger club.

  12. All I will say is that Taribo started playing professional football at the age of 11 or something daft like that According to his official age. That was definitely a different era though.
  13. As well as a career loser and miserable little emo to boot... Well played, Baba. You injured my soul by comparing me to a man rapist. I wanted to injure your soul by showing you the very face of the man that betrayed you as a fan of Bronco. This kind of s*** irks me. There has been no evidence or intimation from anywhere that Oba has age cheated. In fact, my sources point to the contrary. The only thing that's started this is a mistake by the NFF. The same organization that thought someone named John Michael Obi had a surname of Mikel. Also, anyone talking nonsense about Kanu can talk to my right fist tbh. Best player in the history of football.
  14. Vermaelen is ridiculously unproven and for you to put him on that pedestal after three games puts your idiocy on the scale of fools at those useless UK papers. Last year this time, Zaki was the second coming of Shearer. Now he plays for Zamalek again. The boy may be great, but why don't you let it happen before you go announcing it. I have seen nothing in Johan's career to sugggest he is better than Jageilka, Distin, or Yobo.
  15. Fourth choice centre back behind Davies, Cuellar and Dunne? Who is Everton's fourth choice centre back? Or Spurs's? Jags, Distin, Yobo, Heitinga, Rodwell... Collins is a decent player imo, rather him than Dunne. West Ham fans certainly seem to like him. Everton have a great collection of centrebacks. Clearly better than Liverpool's and Arsenal's imo. You mate are clueless. Sorry. Carragher/Skrtel/Agger/Kyrgiakos(heard he is very good not seen him myself) Gallas/Vermaelen/Djourou/Senderos Admitedly the options Everton have are very good but they aren't up with them two! Liverpool's first 3 are v good, Kyrgiakos was a shambles the other day. Gallas & Vermaelen are v good for Arsenal, but I've gotta question the other 2. I'd prefer Everton's 3rd and 4th defenders to Arsenal's, but Arsenal's first two. So overall, I'd prefer Arsenal's. Well, Liverpool, then Arsenal, then Everton. For Arsenal they have one very good centreback in Gallas. They also have Vermaelen, who is a unknown really. At this point, success in the Dutch league cannot be taken seriously by French and German teams, never mind those in the Premiership. He has looked good thus far, but only time will tell. After that you have two Swiss internationals who i personally think are quite poor for a team of your level. Djourou has never impressed me. As for Senderos, you've been attempting to dump him for the past two summers. . Liverpool's is overrated. Carragher will need to replaced very soon and will be exposed badly this season behind. Skrtel and Agger are both pretty nice players. They both have had injury problems but still they are good. The Greek is 30 years old and his only experience with top level football is two years in Germany and few CL defeats. Everton on the other hand have three experiecned high level Premiership centrebacks at the height of their powers in Jagielka, Yobo, and Distin. Heitinga isn't very good imo, but he is an established int'l prescence off the bench. If Rodwell is actually a CB than he is a good prospect. Their certainly ahead of Arsenal I think. You can argue about Liverpool.
  16. This singing makes this the best deadline day for us in years tbh. He'll be vital this year. Especially as our frontrunners ebgin to wear down.
  17. The story is bulls*** btw. First off the source is Kenya Football. Kenya's best player plays in Qatar. What the f*** do they know about football? F*** Kenya. The only part that is true is that the authorites are scrambling to put together a fully legitimate u-17 team, so that Nigeria are not embarrassed at the WYC. (we are hosting) Frankly, I am quite happy that we are exposing the cheaters and moving on. Age cheating is one of those ugly things, like 419 scam, that started under military government and has managed to seep into culture. It only costs us. I don't rememeber ever denying age cheating. I'm not bling ffs . I will happily inform you that Taribo West was an age cheat and that Julius Aghahowa had several children and was a police corporal when he was "17". I just resent the idea that all Nigerians are age cheats or scammers. Both these things have increased greatly in the last two decades and are no longer systematic in my country. damn right

  19. We could have really done with giving Xisco a shot right about now. I hate his career here.
  20. Alan Smith has always been one of the better players. The blind disgusting prejudice against him is the worst that I've seen since the infractions against the Jews by the National Socialist parties.
  21. In fairness, 3 or 4 of those would get into the Inter side. yeah Pirlo > Vieira Ronaldinho > Motta Seedorf > Muntari Zanetti and Gattuso are about on par. Pirlo and Seedorf are clearly one the way down and Vieira and Muntari didn't even start today (both were fit), so I don't understand how that logic dictates that they would get into Inter's side
  22. Better than getting humped by 4 or 5 with the eyes of Europe on them, definitely. Shakhtar will feel like they can compete on the top European level, which is the goal for a club like theirs.
  23. I still remember Taribo West missing a heder from about a yard out. That hurt man. We'll definitely win the next one though. I just find it funny how your two best players are stolen from Cape Verde and Bosnia.
  24. Remember when he was the next big thing after scoring in the WC and doing about 50 backflips? Long time ago man he scored against Sweden when we won 2-1 right? Oh yes. No bloody way we should have lost that game. Bitter about that still. Aghahowa is one of the most blatently obvious you-know-whats I've seen in this millenium though.
