It’d be great if someone was able to publicly call out all of these idiots who reckoned Bruce was doing such a good job. We’d be bottom 3 if he was still here, Joelinton would be sitting on the bench as a failed striker, he’d not have had the vision to sign Trippier or Burn and we’d be watching Clark and Lascelles as centre halves booting it upfield hoping that ASM can take on the opposition defence. Oh, and as for a left back, there’s just no way he’d have picked Targett as a loan. Will any of those pundits have the grace to say we were right; will they fuck. Merson in particular needs to fuck right off, here’s hoping we can put his precious Arsenal into an also ran in a few years time. I can only think he lost all his ‘boro wages in Aspers and in Ladbrokes when he was up here the bitter twat.

Seems like we had a few in their East Stand. If I told you how many people jumped and cheered in the East Stand when Newcastle scored you wouldn't believe me.

Bloody hell hows that not handball

Great header, absolutely loved the way he celebrated with the fans. Big Jo or Pogba, no contest. Just don’t play the ball to his feet in the box.

We call them Man U and Man City tbh, there’s only one united in our eyes, pisses me off that Man U think they own it. I seem to recall us winning at Twerton as part of us winning our first 11 games when we were promoted under Keegan, that 2-0 at our place under Ozzie can’t have been last time you played up here. Hope Anderson does really well for you.

RIP, no age.

Rio commenting on BT Sport after our match about how much better we look as a team. Needs pulling up the camel faced pie face rimmer.

So important we don’t lose this, West Ham haven’t been all that good, have to take advantage.
-
Just stole 10 yards at least on that throw in
-
Expecting West Ham to come out much better 2nd half, vital we control the midfield.
-
Too easy, good delivery but Dawson didn’t even have to make anything other than a short run to meet the ball.

Why’s it taken so long to get the Op done?

I meant Castle Leazes not Leazes Park btw. If we could rotate SJP in a timely manner even better. And if we could build where Barrack Rd passes the stadium even better, theres a useable road behind there, bit of a faff for buses but still possible or just build a tunnel for busses only.
-
If we were to expand or move (Leazes Park only alternative for me) I’d prefer a stadium where you wouldn’t notice up to 25k empty seats and where you could easily close parts down without affecting acoustics. Don’t say it can’t happen, we’re one bad owner away and we’re not at a level where we’d constantly fill the stadium. I’m really not sure what our natural attendance level would be week in week out. I’d be happy with circa 65k.

The only match I got to was a home match against Spurs (not that one), seats in the Gallowgate with a Sunderland supporting mate who got hold of work ST tickets (an Accountancy firm who couldn’t get tickets anywhere else in the ground and used them to entertain-imagine that, the demand was so great that they considered seats in the Gallowgate as an atttactive proposition to clients).
-
I went from attending as many games as I could to attending 1 home game in around 10 years. I played Saturday afternoon football so didn’t have a ST and just couldn’t get a ticket if I didn’t have a game. It pissed me off massively at the time.

That’s the one and Albert Luque finished them off. They completed imploded but another hero Arca finished Shearer’s career.

Aye, Human Rights was top of their concerns: “Wu didn’t want um anyweh after that murder of that Cashandcarry lad“

The apparent apathy from a large number of their fans is staggering. Many of them just stopped going which has reduced income and affected their attractiveness to investors. Without any formal protest groups it just looks like they don’t care and that 5 years in Div 3 is acceptable. I have no idea what it’ll take for them to get organised and try and force change; it may already be too late. When they were convinced Dell was buying them it seemed they believed this was because they were somehow a class act and “deserved” it (some even suggesting that the Netflix doc had shed a good light on them and raised their profile). The current SAFC support is letting down both previous and future generations. I’d rather be playing against SAFC in the PL than Brentford for example (no disrespect), win or lose derby day is special. There’s no fear of that happening anytime soon.

Tempting fate but I got the impression he was being a bit of a soft shite. He was determined to come, he must have asked 3 times with only minutes to HT. It looked more like impact than twist.
-
No idea, was very early in the 2nd half and he indicated straight away that he needed to come off, we all assumed it was from the Everton game and he’d stiffened up during HT.
-
Massive blow if he’s out.
-
Have to agree about an apparent lack of pace. Think his position is going to be more deep lying. There was a play about 10 yards from the dug out and he got not where near. Not a criticism but definitely an observation.

There was plenty trouble in the late 60’s I believe and from there on in. I wanted Sunderland to win in ‘73, all changed for me when the following year they gloated when we got smashed.
