Very wishful thinking but even by Ashley’s standards the money we’ve avoided spending this summer is extraordinary. Assuming he’s just not deliberately pissing everyone off, is there the hope of a takeover? Ashley is seemingly raking in as much cash as he can, hasn’t released these funds to Rafa and knows the fans are on the verge. He’ll not get his asking price but he can offset much of that by the current penny pinching and whatever pilfering is going on. It would also leave any new owners without the burden of taking on payments and contracts for any new signings in Ashley’s last days. I know I’m talking bollocks but it’s a nice thought on a sunny Saturday night before the shit storm starts next weekend when we start with Joselu up front....

Yep that's the point isn't it. If he said right we've made say £25m and all that is going on youth, training ground upgrades etc you could see sort of, the theory in it. What he does makes no sense to us, and most football knowledgeable people i would hope. What we are is simply a way to make him money because we're just one big billboard for his shitty sports shops. where's that from? Hate ITK shite but I occasionally bump into a bloke who works for the club. He also told me that recruitment and scouting was poorly run, there’s some U19 tournament coming up and we’re not bothering to send any scout. If you can take something positive he reckons Kenedy may have a £30M option to buy but we’re not paying that are we? I don’t think the exact details of the loan are known by many tbh even within the club. FWIW he’s pretty reliable but with all things Nufc anything could happen.

We’ve been looking at Alf Inge Haaland’s son who plays for Molde and are managed by Solskjær. Needless to say Man U are also monitoring but I’d imagine his dad would have mixed feelings about that. Anyway they want around £8M for a 17 year and we ain’t paying that and Mike and Rafa have a Mexican stand off over releasing funds and signing a contract. What a way to run a club.
