  1. He played well and put his body in the way as he does. So relieved when he didn't manage to punch the ball away from Hernadez when Krul saved. It was a typical Taylor moment.
  2. We got of jail given the 1st 15 minutes today. MU were so pedestrian once we got sorted out they made us look organised. For all the plaudits being handed out, rerun those those opening minutes and have a think what teams with more urgency will do to us.

    Remy Cabella

He struggled last season, good luck to him. He'd have struggled to get game time here.

    RTG loving it http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/B0082C5E-54D1-48F6-BB52-0745D4BF9968_zpsxyhnusxu.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm253/nufcstu/72D95A82-9BC5-439E-AD6E-88588003D7C6_zpssrpwjnmf.jpg
  5. So, is that not offside this season?
  6. You could argue it was a foul but would he have given Bournemouth a penalty if the tables were turned?

    Sunderland

The inevitable talk about Fat Sam seemingly has started again. If they're skint now Fat Sam will see the buggers bankrupt by the time he gets his platoon of back room staff in, demands money to waste on Fat Sam players and then gets paid off once the fans get fed up of the shit served up (which to be fair could take a bit longer at Sunderland as they initially might like his type of shite). Would love to see him go there and wreak more havoc.

If this signing does go through I'm taking it as a sign that there is still more money available for transfers in more pressing areas. I can't believe that for our final signing we'd look at what we need and then sign a moody, erratic winger for a pot of money and think job done.
  9. Keegan on his debut, Shearer's 2 in the San Siro spring to mind, others gave already been mentioned (Lee's certainly). I went fairly mental for Ben Arfa's debut goal as well. Other than Nufc has to be Linekar's equaliser in the WC Semi, the whole pub just erupted.

    Steve McClaren

When McClaren says he didn't learn anything new yesterday he's either confirming he already knew where we've got problems or he's just here for the ride after getting sacked by Derby. I see Cashley has distanced himself from the process of signings again. McClaren should be banging his door down. He needs reminding of his own words from the West Ham game.
  11. I'll get pelters off some here but unless we do sign another CB I'd partner Taylor with Mbemba and see how they get on. Colo is a shadow of the player he was and isn't vocal or any kind of leader on the pitch. Taylor can be a right knacker but he would be vocal and may provide the kick up the arse that some of them need. Obvious problem is that Taylor ain't the brightest spark but we must be the quietest side in the league.

The left hand/ arm is just wrong, he looks like he's leaning on a bar. I'd have preferred an open hand as well. They must have looked at hundreds of photos to choose from until the sculptor confessed he couldn't do fingers. The head is ok, the forehead is too big though. It is better than Sir Bob's though, winds me up every time I walk passed it.

    Steve McClaren

We've got a new back room staff in and we'll have someone whose sole job will be to assess the opposition in the run up to the game and this will largely determine how the manager sets his side up. That being the case either our preparation was awful or the players didn't execute the plan. We had players out there today who shouldn't be allowed near the starting 11 if we'd recruited properly. No team spirit or togetherness and a complete lack of onfield encouragement or leadership. For the second game of the season that is unacceptable.

    Steve McClaren

What is worrying is that we didn't appear to have any sort of game plan today or if we did the players completely ignored it. The sending off was stupid but the fact is that we were all over the place well before then and teams a lot worse than Swansea would have beaten us on that showing. You can't go away from home and not compete.
  15. We were rubbish from the 1st minute today, no closing down, poor movement and no resemblence of being any kind of unit. We were ok last week, we were as bad as ever today. We need a complete shake up; Colo should have been sold, Haidara ain't good enough; the Anita/ Colback axis is a joke and Mitrovic now needs to start ahead of Cisse, we also need to get Perez in somewhere and Aarons in for Squidward. There's too many players in the comfort zone and we are sleepwalking in only our second game of the season. Can McClaren please show Ashley his interview before the West Ham game and then a video of that shambles today.
  16. Clattermole was subbed after 30 mins last week, Janmaat should have been subbed today.
