  1. Really great that Tripps and Bruno are searching for Lascelles. Bruno tells the random in the Baseball Cap to delay handing the cup over until Lascelles gets across.
  2. Some berk on RAWK unhappy that only 11m 10s of the 8 added on minutes were played. Most people were surprised there was going to be 7 minutes only for Brooks to decide on 8 minutes because, well, why not.

    Awarded Freedom of Northumberland.
  4. The leader of the City Council was on Sky earlier today and said they’d be working with the club to help get something sorted.

Name the only NE club to have won the League, FA Cup and League Cup.
  6. Can’t think of a side that have beaten the top 4 sides on their way to win a cup. Take a bow, you’ve made history.

    Nick Pope

However got it so right today with Pope today; don’t play out, do the basics, his sweeping up and shot stopping, when required, were top class today. Dubs might be a tad unlucky to be left out; Pope showed why he was left out. Brilliant, play to his strengths and you get today.
  8. Tell you what, as a header and assist that was as good as it gets.

    Alexander Isak

Be devastated if he left us for them after that. Today was special, we beat Liverpool comfortably, in a final, that doesn’t happen.
  10. Fuck PSR, hope he gets Champions League. Gan on.
  11. Please, no anti Scouse songs today, we need The Blaydon Races sang properly, together with some of the older chants mixed in with newer ones. No have you seen a Mackem. Let every song be supportive of our team and not a go at others. Hangovers and 2 early goals did our support 2 years ago. Don’t let it happen again today. Come on!

    St James' Park

It’s not very far at all but, there’s nothing there. It’s all relative and it really shouldn’t make any difference. However, all of a sudden, Haymarket Bus Station is a bit further away, so is Central Station, the Metro and many of the pubs and eateries further into town. I get it sounds fairly petty but it’ll place the ground on the periphery; many will disagree and I get that. If there’s a choice between the 2 there shouldn’t be a conversation over where to go.

    St James' Park

Leazes Park is romanticised from a long gone era. It’s under used, under funded, has a dirty lake and a replaced band stand. There’s huge potential to regenerate 2 areas and create something rather special. If it’s a choice between mature trees and grabbing opportunity there really shouldn’t be an argument. The Park is a remnant of a different time, plant new trees, landscape the 2 areas to compliment each other, make a statement. Now is the time, it’ll not happen again. Castle Leazes would be an underwhelming 2nd choice.

    St James' Park

The Council own both Leazes Park and the land the current ground is on. Get PIF to build a new ground on what is basically Grade 2 shit hole of a park, championed by a minority of busy bodies and regenerate the land SJP currently sits on and you’d have a marvellous place. A new green space, a spectacular ground, jobs and opportunity. It’s a complete no brainer.
  15. I need to stop backing them, they’ve a great home record and they’ve now done me yet again.

    England

For the number of games Tuchel has watched recently; that’s a honking squad.
  17. Eh, absolutely nailed on pen. I’m just fetching the ball back from my garden mind.
  18. Or the pace and movement PSG have in midfield. Completely different game when we play Lpool.
  19. When you need legs up front to see out a game I can’t fathom what Eddie is thinking about by bringing Wilson on. His body is knackered. He possibly looks fine in training; he looked slow, weak and was blowing out his arse 5 minutes after coming on last night. Love the guy, thanks for the memories.
  20. I was surprised how poor he was operating on the left in the opposition half. Didn’t realise how reliant he was with his right foot, it stopped him overlapping which is a huge downside for us when we break. Trippier is far more suited and used to playing there and I reckon Tino’s pace could be used to match Diaz. Tripps is going to have a long afternoon no Mayer which side he plays. His experience and sledging may be of more use against Salah, so long as he avoids an early booking. Barnes is going to have to work his bollocks off tracking back.
  21. Ref Watch just challenged Dermot to measure out 10 yards to see how good he was. He got it spot on; anyone guess where he stopped?
