Lpool can’t cope with PSG movement and pace, got absolutely no foothold in midfield.
-
Looks at him, pushes him; all ok.
-
No sympathy from me but he’d have every right to look back at the 2 he’s taken to the head this season where nothing was given. Both were a lot more forceful.
-
Haha, didn’t look at the teams. Who was it, he was chucking himself all over the place and was also walking a tightrope for a 2nd yellow. Or was that someone else as well? 😂

No chance that gets overturned. Veltman is a twat mind.

How many goals had Dubs contributed to with his distribution? Pope’s throwing contributed to 2 at the weekend. Pope’s passing is woeful but it hasn’t cost us a goal. Howe has got to get the defence and Pope drilled into not exposing his lack of control. We mustn’t forget that Dubs is hardly Pirlo, that he’s just turned 36 and isn’t as good a keeper as Pope. Pope turns 33 in April and he’s definitely lost something. Hopefully a run of games will help him. He’s been criticised for both Forest’s & Lpool’s 1st goals. He’ll be disappointed for both but Murphy was at fault for the Forest goal with (imo) Pope being caught closer to his line than he’d have been if there’d been a normal attack and not us gifting possession around our penalty area. Lpool’s 1st went through 2 sets of legs with 6”7” Burn standing on the 6 yard line. I think that’s a far harder save to make than it looked. Give Pope the opportunity to play himself into better form.

In a game like this Bruno needs a holding/ break up player beside him. Willock is probably the worst option, he provides no protection for Bruno. As we’re not breaking in numbers and have an unfit Wilson up top Willock’s skill set is pretty redundant to make any impression.
-
MGW in place of Bruno would the upgrade imo.

That’s an awful goal. Can argue Pope should do better but it does come through 2 sets of legs before he can commit.
-
Taking no chances for Sunday and not giving Lpool any practice for the final - I hope. Take or medicine tonight and don’t complain. Of course, we’ll get hammered and twist on like bitches.

Lost on penalties, 2 of ours and 1 of there’s nearly landed in my back garden in NE23.

Winning 3-2 at Altrincham from 2 down after 10 mins. Altrincham have just “missed” a penalty where the player stopped his run up for some reason and our keeper dived. Ref gave us a free kick. No replay shown, was really weird.

Stick Vlad on for the last couple of minutes at LB back and get him to put Salah out for 5 weeks. Something like a metatarsal, nowt serious as that’s not right like…. Can you imagine the uproar.

Pope is streets ahead of Dubs as a keeper. He’s useless with his feet so we need to recognise that when we play out. Pope’s keeping abilities will win us more games than Dubs’ distribution skills. Pope got caught too deep in his box for their goal because Murphy dropped a clanger that had the whole defensive out of shape.
-
Not sure what to make of that. Could have scored 7, could’ve chucked 2 points away, Murphy’s passing was truly abysmal and he’d have missed his goal if he’d been 5 yards further out. We were almost collectively too passive and sloppy in the 2nd half. Just pleased we won, I was a little disappointed in Forest tbh.

Young is a cheating git but the referee had a clear view of it in real time and it shouldn’t have been overturned no matter how bad the dive was. No idea how low the high bar for overturning a decision now is. Remember when Longstaff nearly exchanged shirts at Wolves 2 or 3 years ago and it was deemed fair.
-
Ashley Young making a meal of it went against him for once.

Probably didn’t sign because of our PSR problems. So, we had to sell 2 players and will now have to spend a lot more than the 16m Trafford would have cost at that point. Glad those rules are still protecting us.

Madrid did the same kind of ball in the 1st leg; did we not watch that match?
