We have to go at them in the 2nd leg full tilt for the first 20 minutes and see where that gets us. They’ve been so poor.

That was a really tough watch, we just looked like we wanted it over and done with. There’s so much you could point out that was missing or wrong. I’ll just say that Eddie needs to take his Gordon on the left glasses off. Start with Barnes left, Elanga right, Willock in midfield for Tonali and we score today and probably win. My favourite Gordon moment today was in the 1st half when he ran onto a ball 10yards inside their half and immediately turned 180 degrees and ran 15 yards into his own half so he could turn inside and play a square ball to a team mate. We ended up further back than we’d started and Gordon was no longer an attacking option.

Just about every other side in the division wins this at a canter. No excuses for this.

This was a different semi final. Home first leg so it wasn’t the getting to the final leg and we largely gave up possession. I thought the atmosphere was ok. City controlling the game had a huge bearing on it.
