Its far too late to be thinking about another appointment, anyway Kinnear is back soon Even if we go down i can see Kinnear becoming the manager on a permanent basis because he'll be cheap and Ashley would have lost a heck of alot of money dropping into the championship. I can see this happening and by Christmas when we are again struggling Ashley will sack Kinnear and hire someone else! All seems to familiar a story im to be honest im fucking sick of this!

Butt is just saying it how it is, we have fallen from a top 6 team to a bottom 6 team!!! Thats quite frightening in just 4 years! Unless something is done a.s.a.p it will only get worse and we might end up being a decent championship side at best, after all we have a manager to suit!!!! Butt although hated on this forum HAS been one of our better performers this season (not hard!)and don't be surprised if he is a strong contender for our player of the season, can you think of any other player who deserves this award...jonas, not really hasnt scored a single goal, bassong, done brillient and would be my pick imo.

Yes but maybe with the exception of Barca, Milan and Bayern an english club will either win or come runners up in the champs league for the next 10 or so years. Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal (you cud add Man City in a few years!) are now the super powers of european football which dosn't bode well for the other clubs in the prem!!

I admire your optimism, pete, but it going to be very, very tough to get anything from our next 3 home games. By the end of those, who knows where we could be. Yes, we've beaten Man Utd before but that was about 6 or 7 years ago when we had a team capable of finishing in the top 3 and one of the finest managers in football. True, if we organise right and fight like dogs we can give the big boys a run for their money.....but thats the problem: we dont have a proper manager (or coach in our case) who can make astute tactical changes, we dont have the players to do that, and we dont have the character in our side to fight and stand up and be counted. We're a spineless team. We've been missing (good) luck for the past 40 years, what makes you think we'll get it on Wednesday night, or in the coming weeks? Agree, the fact we dont have a skilled manager to make the right tactical decsions and motivate the players is very worrying! That plus the side has no spine (lack of a consistant center midfield) makes us easy to play against at the mo!

A great entertaining player, was NOT a waste of money and was actually my favourite player at the time, and that hat-trick v barca i will never forget. Thank you Kevin Keegan for bringing him to NUFC.
