Which knob said this lot were the best promoted team ever? They're just average. We've just shaded it but that's not saying much. Rondon could be the difference, actually has a fairly standout attribute compared to the rest of our meek attacking options.

There appears to be no plan for him - it's really disappointing. He was the only midfielder to provide any cutting edge on Wednesday and is then completely dropped. Yes, he didn't light it up over the course of the game and was poor in the second half, but I'd rather have a midfielder that can provide a bit of quality once or twice in a game as opposed to Atsu who, while he looks neat in spurts, rarely does anything productive.

Harsh as fuck on Murphy, unless he's injured. Meh team. Would much rather see Muto in there.

Great change by Rafa, imo - closed up the space and stopped their momentum. Really enjoyed that game for the first time in quite a while. Feels nice to just bask in the result a bit and not think about the endless turd of Ashley, even for a day. I think that was the most satisfying Prem-level striker performance I've seen for us since Remy was here; Rondon did so much right.

Out tendency under Rafa so far in the Prem has been to go on streaks of form, so I'm expecting us to hit a bit of a run between now and Jan. Really wouldn't be shocked if we ended up midtable again - coupla loans in January and finish about 12th. And then it goes on. Woohoo.

Fulham in their current state must to go to a true counter style. They have some pace out wide, a decent mid-to-long passer in Cairney, and need to protect that back 4 as much as possible. Whether that'll suit Mitro is another story...

Fulham will go down unless they spend big on getting the defensive side of their game sorted.
