I really don't think Motta and Matuidi are better players than him. I can see why Matuidi plays as he's so energetic and gives that midfield legs but I think YoCabs could come in for Motta and do just as good a job. Nah, no way, Mottas is the player you don't take out in that midfield. He's by far their best midfielder. I think he's a tad overrated, myself. He's a very tidy player and intelligent but I don't think PSG need him for a lot of Ligue 1 games (CL is a different story). If Cabaye came in for him: they could still keep possession well, the midfield balance would still be there and they'd have a player that offers more going forward. It's pretty crucial they keep on developing Veratti, who'll eclipse all of them if he keeps on progressing. Ideally, you'd get take out Matuidi, but I think if you had a midfield 3 of Motta, Veratti and Cabaye then it's a bit powderpuff and one-paced (even for Ligue 1).

I think we'll beat Leicester, unfortunately. He'll stumble on something that has enough to beat them and keep him around for just that bit longer, the fluky cockroach that he is.

Ground 'atmospheres' in the Premier League have pretty much dissipated. Palace's is probably the best now.

Meh. His opinion isn't at all worth caring about.

Veratti's passing isn't as consistent but his vision is better, IMO, and he can pull off some absolutely fantastic eye-of-the-needle stuff.

Should have been clearer, I'm talking about a 4-4-2.

I think some form of two up top is certainly our best bet, plenty of second striker partners for Cisse. I think Cabella in a Silva-esque on the right could work well if Perez is to start. From the little we've seen of him, he seems to be a player that likes to go out wide and link up with midfielders. Cabella's final third game seems to be about combinations in tight areas so that could work well. Would need a proper winger on the other side though, Aarons could probably do the job. Either way, 4-2-3-1 is just redundant without de Jong.

Worried he might actually take some ideas out of that game. Radical stuff like playing genuine wide players on the wing, having more than one genuine forward on the pitch at once and dropping players like Gouffran and Colback. That last 20 minutes is probably the most balanced we've looked in a long time, sadly. Reckon he'll scrape a win against Leicester.

He did OK. Provided some width and the occasional cross. Some absolutely comical moments in possession, still.

to him going up front. A more accurate term would be I hate what he now represents. -

To be honest, as shit as he is, I'd have had no problem with Obertan starting ahead of Gouffran (even if I'd have gone with other options first). Trust Pards to have them both on together from the off. -

Gouffran still in the team though :lol::lol::lol::lol: -
I wonder if he'll be told to train with the reserves for this insubordination?

Pjanic is such a lovely player.

I did think there was a period in the first half where he was starting to understand the league better. That little dribble and ball to Riviere is the sort thing he can do. Just seemed to lose whatever confidence he may have had, after half an hour or so. His style of dribbling is interesting. His best work comes when he receives the ball at pace and then commits players or when wriggling through a crowd. It's all about drawing players in and using his footwork to get around them. However, when the onus is on him to speed the play up then he's not so good as he lacks the necessary acceleration. In a ponderous set up like ours, he's not well suited. Ironically, I think going 4-4-2 and having a striker that can combine with him in the channels would help his game.

He's not even trying to play his style of football, mind. This is his shit attempt to be continental. Might as well just go 4-4-2 and super direct, it's about the best he can do.

 I think that's me done. Wow.

He looks like Lamela did in his first few games (well, year), almost cautious. They're actually not that different in style. This often how it is for players that come here that aren't the most natural of athletes. He will get his head round it, good players generally do.
