That kind of sport has never been seen at SJP

A) Your performances would suggest otherwise (to the first comment). B) Rules like this are usually enforced to weedle out the serial offenders. Good staff know it doesnt affect them so wont be bothered by them at all. If this is true then I would suggest that this cunt is one of the people Shearer is targeting. May he fuck his knee in training and never play again (the player/source that is, not Shearer). P.S.

When they get ripped apart by Barcelona he will give himself a little sigh of relief that he cant be part of the blame

We all know its The Champons League [/McLaren]

I agree too but this is Joey Barton. The rules dont apply to him - his reputation precedes him. It was always going to be difficult to get rid of him
-
Arsenal fans walking out. How dare they
-
Well I don't literally mean ending his contract, but getting rid in whatever way we can. Thought that's what you meant when you suggested sacking him. He's got 3 years left on his contract and every week he's not involved another (circa) £50k leaves the club. Shearer should have been smarter imo. Suspending him until further notice sends out the signal he's persona non grata and he's now worthless to us. We'll be lucky if we can give him away now. But within the club and in the dressing room, suspending a player who confronted the manager in front of the other players has sent out a very clear message as far as discipline goes and you cant put a price on that. If Shearer or the club had not acted at all, that might have had a much more detrimental affect on the atmosphere around the place than the loss of money.

I liked how Jens Lehmann wasnt prepared to criticise Almunia for the 2nd goal. Probably bit his lip off stopping himself

There hasnt half been an exodus since Alan came along He's here for the long term

This is it for me now on Monday night. Shit or bust.

Fucking hell man! Do you post that sort of shit just to get a reaction? At least it wont get the thread locked

O'Neill is a Makem fan. He will let Hull win
-
Have to be honest, as I sit here, I have zero interest in this

Wish I was as optimistic. We've stopped playing. We look as if we know we're going to finish 5th or 6th and don't care. I'm leaving the house for the match now, and can smell a draw from this considerable distance. We are all praying for your lads tonight mate
-
I agree with you mate but its easy to say we can drop a player because he is playing shite but we arent dealing with the human element of things and dealing with that player and any influence they might have with their team mates and in the dressing room
-
Youre assuming all the players have the same opinion of Michael as most fans. For all you know, Owen might generate a lot of respect from his team mates so to drop the captain, Shearer has to consider the affect amongst the rest of the squad should he drop Owen.

Whatever our fate after the Aston Villa game, I hope that the club makes a decision within the following 7 days of who is going to be the next permanent manager because we cant be pissing about again and let the days/weeks/months of the summer pass with indecision having hung over the club. It will be the first chance the club has of learning from their mistakes so lets hope they do whats better for the summer and next seasons preparations.

Since September, our Manager, Vice President (Player Recruitment) and Executive Director (Football) have all left the club. None of us could be far wrong in saying the running of the club behind the scenes has been nothing short of shambolic
-
Fair enough, I agree with that. I just dont get the impression that he sits at home or in his office, thinking things through and about what is next in his steps to develop NUFC. The Shearer appointment smacks of the way it will always be with him - desperate decisions at the last minute because his hand has been forced.

Not me. When I read that guardian article and just being reminded of him employing the manager of the casino he frequented, then employing first Jimenez and then Wise on Jimenez's recommendation - I just felt fucking angry that he didnt give the proper thought into getting the best people possible. Reading that, it seems so obvious that we now find ourselves in the position we are. For that I cant support him
