  1. All the main roads down here are clear and I understand WBA have undersoil heating so there shouldnt be a problem. However after seeing the laughable, over the top reaction to a few of inches of snow earlier in the week, nothing would surprise me! I am in solihull and no more snow here overnight. Very icy but I wouldnt expect that to be problem for the major roads. WBA is just off the M5 so access is good - havent got to go through loads of residential area to get to the ground so assuming the pitch is OK, should be no problems. Shitting myself about this game now. I dont like phrases "this game is massive for us today" as every game is and they get used every week but with the fixtures coming up, if we dont get 3 points today, things will look bleak for us.
  2. I despair of Kinnear I really do. Fucking doomed we are with him around

    Interesting read

Aye good to read that. Always good to hear other fans appreciating him. Bet Southampton fans have got some cracking memories of him as well. Funnily enough, he was involved in one of their best periods (albeit short) in their history. I wonder how he does it
  4. Was that the 0-1...Kevin Scott get the goal ? If it was I was there that day
  5. I wish he hadnt left that comment of "the club made me do things I didnt want to do" hanging. I want to know what that is all about
  6. I'm sure that would be breaking the contract and if we did that the players could become free agents, at a guess. If things are as bad as they seem, and we havent a bean to our name, then drastic measures are called for. If it meant we had a first team full teenagers but it meant that the huge wage bill was wiped off then whilst its a shuddering thought to think of how the team would perform, we might be that little bit safer from administration (but not relegation obviously) Thats a completely irrational suggestion before anyone says but if we are in such dire trouble, I wonder to what lengths they will go to make sure we dont go under.
  7. Please don't mention that game. The way I feel now compared to how I felt that day is incredible. Hold on to the memory. Might be a while before we enjoy one like it again
  8. I was thinking the other day about how we stand in telling all players they have to take pay cuts. Granted they are on contracts but so are most people in 9-5 jobs and certainly I am hearing the odd stories amongst people in my line of work where people are being asked to take pay cuts. Can the club do that ?
  9. Toon : Paul Gascoigne Non Toon : Zinedine Zidane
  10. Its easier for 1 man in a high profile position to talk to 52,000 (or however many were there last night) footballs fans than it is 52,000 to talk to 1 high profile man. Simple fact is Ashley needs to make the first move if there is to be any genuine and sensible dialog between the club and fans. Its just not easy for fans to gain access but Ashley has various forms of media with which to get the ball rolling. He must be aware that there is a set of fans trying to get something going. The longer he appears to ignore them, the worse this situation is going to become.
  11. He's not been involved in the day-to-day running of it, other than writing cheques. He employed Mort and then Llambias to run it for him. It's possible that he's now realising that Llambias has made a complete fuck up of the job & wants to see what's going on more closely. But as someone said earlier, he definitely came out previously (months ago) with the comment of how he is now going to take a more "Hand on role" at the club. Something along the lines of "Putting the suit on and getting involved more. Obviously utter crap then so why should we believe it now. Its just terrifying to think he has only now realised what an utter cock up his staff are making of it all. Personally I dont think he is thick enough to have thought that the previous 6 months have been fine. I think he is just trying to pacify the fans
  12. "“He wants to see how things work and he’s committed to a fortnightly major meeting between everyone at the club so that we can start moving things in the right direction. It is a new world for him." Sorry. Has he just bought the club last week or something ?
  13. I wish therefore that he has put a snooker ball in Kinenars mouth and stopped him talking about the January transfer window and come out and said "Look. We are skint. The accounts are being published and you will see. I will come out and talk about them publicly. Transfer activity in January is going to be minimal". But he didnt. Day after day he allowed just just keep rambling on.
  14. What a fucking magical goal by that kid
  15. Noticed that David Moyes has thrown 2 really young kids on there tonight - and this is a massive game. Will Kinnear ever do this with us ?
  16. Spolit brats expect to given everything for nothing. A lot, if not all, of the unhappy people have paid good, hard earned money to just see their football club turned into a laughing stock before their very eyes. Thats the real world.
