Heard a good comparison recently that said when Abramovich went to Chelsea and wanted to make them the best, he went and poached the Chief Exec of the world biggest football club in Peter Kenyon. NUFC is a fucking fantastic place to be if things are on the up. The passion and the desire of the fans is something that should attract an owner who wants to be the one to bring it back. WUM Terry Venables refused a contract that supposedly offered him £100,000 a game until the end of October. Why do you suppose that was? I'm inclined to believe it's because we were a laughing stock with our cockney vendetta. Perhaps he didnt want to be seen as a desperate, money hungry ex manager. Is it also possible that Venables spoke to Keegan to find out his side of things and made a decision based on what he heard from all parties ?

Rubbish, when he quit, we'd only played 3 league games, 3 games that had us 4 pts, one point more than most people would've expected, we've played 34 games since then......thats plenty time to get things sorted. true enough....but his timing to leave was planned imo to cause the maximum damage. At the time it could have been just a threat to quit - therefore creating maximum fear. He may have assumed that Ashley would have the forethought, like SJH did, to realise that NUFC with KK was better off than without. What he maybe didnt account for, is that Ashley is a thick cunt and assumed his men could handle it
