  1. Fucking get in. Just seen that Stevenage got beat in the Conference Play-Off by Cambridge United (with one minute to go in extra time) I will bear that grudge forever.
  2. What happened ? The Sunderland keeper rolled the ball on the ground ready to kick...touch a couple of touches, panicked, stumbled, and got tackled...only for the Arsenal player to f*ck up the shot. Wish I hadnt stopped watching now
  3. If we dont score in the first 20 minutes we are knackered. If ever a game called out for an early goal to help calm the nerves a little its this one. We should spend the next 7 days practicing lashing them in from all angles and distances. We need to make the keeper work as much as possible. They will be as nervous as us so we need to force the keeper into making a mistake as soon as possible.
  4. Atmosphere will be vicious at the end if we dont win. Be interesting to see if Ashley is there to face it, if it goes wrong
  5. Only just had chance to see his interview on BBC. His reaction to the question of Barton was a very honest one. You can see he was absolutely seething. I think a lot of managers would have come out with cliche after cliche to try and hide their true feelings. Good to see Shearer not hiding behind a mask.
  6. I guess their design team feel that not putting the 3 stripes all the way down the arms is the way to go this year. Utter bollocks if you ask me
  7. I think Atletico Madrid goinig down was massive. They had won the League and Cup double about 5 years previous. Can you imagine that happening in the Premier League
  8. I really like it... Aye I dont mind it either to be honest. Pity about the sponsors logo mind but I like the club badge
  9. How has Howard Webb done tonight ?
  10. Ashley is a successful businessman, he must surely know what he is doing
  11. We lost at home to Hull because someone held up a banner with some words on
  12. He's as entertaining as fuck. Lets make him manager. http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/8402/krusty.jpg
  13. We have had more than our fair share of opportunities to take the piss. Law of averages says they will have their moments to. Let them enjoy it. Our next chance will come around again quicker than theirs.
  14. I think the hope is that if the worst happens and we go down, then EVERY approach to running the club needs to change (and evvery mistake made this year to not be repeated) in the close season. More than ever, by the time we kick off again in August, this place has to have a feel good factor and Ashley coming out and openly talking in the summer will be a major step towards that.
  15. Once we got to the position where we were relying on other teams results then we deserve everything that we get. No one in the league ever does you any favours. We should have got to grips with things when our safety was still in our own hands.
  16. Fingers crossed Finished 0-1 to Gateshead
  17. I think you'll find that most newcastle fans openly admit that our atmosphere is no where near as good as it used to be. You read too many newspapers dont you ?
  18. Feel free to speak freely about Liverpool if you like Mike
  19. I am still happy for him to have a season with a squad completely cleaned out of the dead wood currently dragging us down. Give him a team with a greater content of youth/pace/enthusiasm/flair and I think he will do a good job
  20. right there is Sunderland and Hull's pre-match pep talk
  21. Hope you tickled the giblets as well? No but I just went back to give them a gentle stroke
  22. I didnt even think twice before rubbing it
  23. A bit of positivity Liverpool might fluff their lines, they're behind Man United again and they really need to win all their remaining games and just hope Man United mess up. Of course this could go the opposite way and they play out of their skins from now until the end of the season ... This is a very different Liverpool now and whilst they fluffed their lines mid-way through the season, they are on the up again as teams always tend to play free and easy when chasing the top team (see us 96 and even Manu U this year - stumbling along whilst Liverpool re-find their form) Look out for Rafa's "its over" signal again.... around about 20-25 minutes in.
