West Ham should be winning this. Man City struggling a bit to get their game together
-
Looks like the grass cutters were set way too high
-
I heard he joined on Friday. How old is Arthur Cox now ?
-
Still a win mate. Cant think of anything else to say without saying a cliche like "its a good sign to play poorly and still win".
-
Defoe was captain yesterday and has said this morning that Tottenham feels like home. Cant see him going anywhere
-
How pathetic is that.
-
I think thats the most lucid and positive interview I have heard from him in a long time. Maybe since he arrived here. Definitely sounds up for the whole thing and sounded very keen about the idea of playing in a postivie and attack minded team

Matt Dickson (The Times) said something about modern managers need to look at detail & that is not a Keegan strength. Who are these modern managers: Alan Pardew who last season got sacked from West Ham as they were in the shite but he did manage to come & get a team (Charlton) relegated last season. Aidy Boothroyd who last season guided Watford to 20th place in the Premiership, with a whopping 59 goals against. Phil Parkinson who spent less time at Hull than Sam did with us. While mentioning Sam I guess he is one of these modern types, he has got the headset, tv's, the fucking lot & last night I saw his bastard creation Bolton Wanders & on looking at that team & players if that is modern, I guess I am old fashioned. Why is everyone so terrified that KK might just prove that football can be kept simple. I saw Rob Lee on Football Focus yesterday and he said he used to ask KK who takes corners, free kicks etc. KK just said "Whoever. If you fancy it, go for it." he said KK worked on the basis that he bought good players so just let them get on with playing.
-
Would I be right in thinking that Bolton would have adopted different tactics had Sam still been in charge. If so, shows a swicth in mentality towards us already if the first team here comes looking to defend. i think they would have really gone for us under Sam. Just have to build on that now.
-
I reckon Bentley is someone KK would really love to have in the side.
-
Surprising really as Sir Les is a Spurs fan isnt he ? You got to love the man though. A real hero of mine. A joy to watch
-
I just get the impression that they are all very immature men who spend their days giggling at the various different names they can call people.
-
Just seen one of the QPR goals. 2nd one I think. Absolutely brilliant. Kid run from near enough his own half, couple of 1-2's... just a brilliant footballing goal.

Liverpool Stevenage Birmingham City (local for me)
-
And so it begins. I was right. Brilliant. Can only be a good thing. Whatever people say about KK. There is simply no other man alive that could do this to Newcastle
-
Owen because he is just one of those players that have a knack for scoring goals no matter what. This is based on the assumption that they both stay fit.
-
Cant we just wait until Keegan gets the players playing to his style then judge Michael. Its just been a horrible period at the club throughout his time here and it has no doubt had an effect on his game - as it has on everyones, in cluding the fans. Confidence is the ultimate factor and when KK puts that back into Michaels game, I have no doubt the goals will come. Lets not try and pretend that he isnt very good. Thats just plain daft.

oh right...so what do you reckon we should do. drag them from their already scripted post match thoughts on the match yet to be to northumberland street for a very slow throat slitting with a blunt fork before disembowelling and being hung over a lamp post wearing red red and white keks on their only just hanging on heads ? (please say yes) Probably. But also consider the fact that you've had an awful lot of good press that last few days. Seriously, the rest of the country is sick of hearing about KK's return. In that coverage, there will also be some negative stuff. That's just the way it works, they love extremes. Everything is fucking brilliant, or everything is fucking rubbish, nobody wants to hear about everything being 'stable'. That's why the likes of Villa, Man City, Everton and to a certain degree Newcastle were all unremarked upon by the press for years - nobody wants to know about non events. Media-wsie I think you're onto a loser here. The same press which built KK up as the returning messiah are just pissing their pants with excitement right now at all the column inches they're going to fill as the situation develop. And don't think they're all waiting for you to do well - they're not, they're waiting and hoping it goes tits up, because that fills more column inches than anything. Which is one reason why I think this is a bad appointment, but I won't go off on that tangent, I've had a bit too much to drink to be cogent. I can completely see why the rest of the country is fed up of all the KK talk. What fucks us off is that it appears to be the fans getting all the blame for it. Once again, the TV, Papers, Radio, never get slagged off (publicly) for going overboard. Yet on top of all their coverage, the likes of SSN and TalkSport still continue to get dozens of non-Newcastle fans from around the country wanting to talk about us. If they stopped calling in, they might get the message that no one ones to talk about it.

Last paragraph is priceless. Doesnt every football fan in the world dream? Whether it be a Man U fan dreaming of winning the Champions League again or a Torquay fan dreaming of getting back into the 2nd Division. Isnt this what drives every fan on. What an utter cock. He must be some dullard if he doesnt have any dreams at all. I guess the emptiness of his life explains the article
-
Personally, what riles me is summed up in your last statement... fans never get the chance to get revenge on these arseholes. It pains me to see these scumbags getting away with writing utter bollocks every week - not just about Newcastle.
-
Why should we assume that Shearer and Keegan should have kept in constant contact with each other just because Keegan signed him as a player. How many people move on from jobs and dont keep in regular contact with their ex-work colleagues ? They only knew each other for what.... a few months, and then for a short time during KK's England days, so they were hardly childhood best mates were they? There could be something in the testimonial thing but only Alan can answer that. Really depends on how he feels about things like that. The article in the programme. Does it say that KK refused or was even asked? All it says is that he didnt write an article. Doesnt mean to say that he didnt want to. Personally I cant believe that he wouldnt have written something if asked but as ever we can only guess. Does seem funny that he was the only major figure

How dare Keegan not re-create 96' in 72 hours with a team of players he didnt buy. These journalists are really are fuckwits of the highest order. Hope his kids are proud of him
-
Not a Kevin Keegan Mug ?
-
Seemed to be speaking very positively on MOTD and his views on a passing CM seemed very coach/managerlike. Wouldnt be surprised to see him in the dugout before too soon.

I would say that the 2 Derby games were bankers for at least 1 clean sheet.... could Sam manage team to accomplish that ? Based on that, keeping a clean sheet today would have been unlikely had Sam been in charge - assumption of course. Its a small thing, and fans of other clubs would probably scoff, but I think this can be taken as a positive from today.
