Hope they can keep them going for 90+ minutes for games in January.

Similar to Netflix? 1st episode will appear some time tomorrow then I just find it and press play anytime from then on in? God , I really am an old git.
-
Old bloke here. Not familiar with amazon prime. Can you choose to watch the documentary anytime or is it a case of watch it at the time it's aired or miss it?

I suppose if they're happy to sit anywhere most will enter the ballot as it gives them an extra chance of getting a ticket. If your physically unable to reach areas of the ground or fussy with the view you'd probably only try the the resale option.
-
It would make sense to offer successful ballot applicants a ticket in a particular area/areas 1st. Those offered can then take it or leave it. Seems the way it is people are "stuck" with tickets in unsuitable or inaccessible areas.

Olivia Atwood isn't it? Bet she'll love Sunderland. Saying that Blackburn's hardly glamorous. In reality they're probably moving from Alderly Edge or somewhere in Cheshire to Darras Hall.

Class from Trafford. His granda is old Trafford you know.

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to Tour Singapore

Think demand merely to get in and see the 1st team these days is so great, and people will be so hungry for toon games by then that this will be well attended. -

General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)
Scoreboard82 replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
"Then look to keep eg the family enclosure as affordable as possible." I think the club probably regret having such a massive family section tbh. Ashley was happy to make it that big cos he was happy to fill seats by all means. There'd probably be some uproar if somehow they reduced it massively now. -
Played for St Mirren too (my favourite club up there). Personally can only remember him from his playing days at Man U and Leeds (I think). RIP Gordon.

Aye, was that game at QPR on plastic? Where we were 4-0 up at HT to draw 5-5.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
Scoreboard82 replied to Rich's topic in Football
Aye, I think Villa are best equipped to take something off Liverpool. Even a draw would be a massive help as we'd possibly only need 1 win/3 draws from our remainder. Brighton will be hard on Thursday but they've lost at Forest and to Everton in recent weeks. Conceding 3 and 5 respectively. Great win today but a bit hit and miss. We've got 2 chances of qualifying. Match Man U results or fend Liverpool off. Fulham last day for Man U so maybe Mitro will help us. -

I think you're right. I think Espanyol did play there. -

Think as it stands Brighton could finish on 71 and as pointed out so could Liverpool. A win v Brighton would see us on 68 and Brighton could still get a maximum of 68 too. Hopefully our GD would better theirs but lots of ifs and buts. -

Think I've worked out that if Brighton fail to win tonight that would mean us beating Brighton would ensure we finish above them. Hard game of course. -

Because they have to play each other we are guaranteed to finish above one of them. -

Forest Green which seems to be in a village in the middle of nowhere and tricky to get to. The other thing is they've got new ground plans but I'm unsure of the time scale. Trying to avoid going twice. Relying on Notts Co coming up too or there'll be another added to the list.

Coventry v Reading for ground No 91 of the 92 for me this weekend gone. 2-1 Cov' to put them 5th. Coventry fans were sound and I wish them well after being through the mill over the years. Ground sharing with Northampton then Birmingham. Spoke about their animosity with the mackems and it was said more than once that Coventry aren't bothered by them but Sunderland hate them. Reading fans on the other hand went down in my estimation. Had the cheek to sing "Coventry's a shithole" then on the train from Coventry to Coventry Arena station were singing "Reading, taking over your town...again" (love will tear us apart tune). Reading man! A nothing town and a nothing club. Thought the city centre had quite a contrast of buildings. Some fairly bland and modern but also some Tudor like buildings you'd expect more in Stratford upon Avon or the likes. Had a look in the old cathedral, almost destroyed by the Germans during the war before I set about getting blitzed myself. Was a bit ropey at the Spurs game yesterday.

Mentioned it in another thread but was on a train last Saturday when 3 very unhappy Darlo fans got on after their 3-0 defeat at Brackley. They fully expected Alun Armstrong to be gone by Sunday. Guessing he's hanging on. I hadn't realised they were struggling so much until I overheard their conversation.

Devon derby, Exeter v Plymouth for me yesterday. Ground No 90 of the 92 done. 12 o'clock KO. Had it arranged for months so unfortunate that it fell at the same time as the toon game, or maybe not in view of our result. Am pointless so barred out from away games generally anyway. Flew down to Bristol then bussed it rest of the way Friday. Met some 'Poolies' on my flight heading to Newport. Quite a highly charged atmosphere down there with the stone island crews out in force. Had to show ID and proof of my address to get into Spoons for breakfast as they didn't want any match goers in. Took some explaining on my part to get in. "A neutral?" said the doorman. Lovely sunny day and a full house. Had to applaud lots of Exeters play so as I wasn't sitting on my hands too much and got mistaken for a Plymouth fan. I did want Plymouth to win after they graciously played 'we are the champions' after we won the championship and relegated them at the same time. Also a memory from my teenage years is lower league Exeter humiliating us 4-0 In an fa cup replay (circa 1979). Broadcast on BBCs 'Sportsnight'. Younger readers will have to ask their parents. Have to say they've got a fantastic terrace behind one goal. Possibly the best in the country given its size. The loonies in there crept nearer the front as the game wore on to the point they were hanging over the pitchside boards, faces contorted with hate and anger as Plymouth took corners in front of them. Wished I'd got a good pic. As for the result Plymouth were fortunate to scrape it 1-0. Trains back via London with a few pints between trains. Last journey made more interesting by listening to 3 disgruntled Darlo fans returning from a 3-0 loss at Brackley. Another good experience over all.

Was at Blue Star v Killingworth the other night. Blue Star looking good for promotion but crowds seem to have dropped significantly. The had some Friday night games in the last few years with gates of around a 1000 but they had 110 the other night. Sure the Saturday game I previously attended only managed about 140. Baffled as to why TBH.
