  1. Voted for the current one but the castle keep badge has a very nostalgic place in my heart. Suppose it was out in my early toon supporting years, although we were awful for most of those years. Was worn by KK in his 1st season so it wasn't all bad.
  2. Yip. Can see my, now ex points in my account. Heartbreakingly says 182 points manually removedā˜¹
  3. Great stuff. Can remember coming from behind with 2 late goals to beat Fulham 3-2 on bonfire night in the 83/84 promotion season. Another bedlam inducing comeback.
  4. Most fans of other clubs aren't seriously bothered about about the politics of Saudi Arabia. They just don't like us and will beat us with any stick they can.
  5. Bit of an underwhelming 1st round draw. Marske/Gateshead home to Altrincham. York/Morpeth home to Kettering/Buxton. Good chance of progression I suppose.
  6. On my way over to watch Dunston today and got on the A1 at Westerhope. The Spurs team bus was stuck in the traffic on the northbound side. Bound for the luxury of Seaton Burn Travelodge no doubt.
  7. Carragher hit the bail on the head there when he said Ashley was happy for the club to just drift along.
  8. Gonna be spine tingling, goose bump inducing when that booms out Sunday, followed by that almighty roar.
  9. Aye, that would be good and appropriate. Turns out the great man was right all along but hell it took some believing when it appeared back then.
  10. Can remember being at the SOS for the derby and in Ashley walked through the turnstiles with his toon top on. Instant chorus of "There's only one Mike Ashley" went up. Obviously we didn't know what the future held. I think doing the dirty on KK meant the fans turned on him. He didn't like it and resented the stick he got. He became the opposition. It was almost as if he was hell bent on getting revenge on the fans after that.
  11. Was there myself. Went with a mate who's moved down to Worksop and now has a season ticket. Came up with his 2 mates. My 1st Dunston game this season as i've been going to Blue Star a bit because they're on my doorstep relatively speaking. Cracking game, particularly 2nd half. Do like Dunston. Been doing a few games a season until Blue Star came back on the scene. Quite torn between the 2 on the non league front TBH. Blue Star are closer to home and ambitious but i feel like i've built up a connection to Dunston.
  12. Cheers. Your post caught my attention cos i've got a soft spot for neighbours St Mirren. Used to do a few games a season pre-covid.
  13. Random. Groundhopping? Just curious.
  14. Been a canny watch. Next week gonna be interesting but annoying when it brings it all back that we should have hung on.
  15. On a similar note. Was watching Soccer Saturday but turned it over to BT sport briefly. In that time Ronaldo got his 1st and that prick Robbie Savage reacted with arms in the air shouting "Viva Ronaldo". Fk the lot of them.

    Footy trivia

Was it Spurs, late 90s maybe? Sure i can remember being near Kings x when there was a bit of trouble between their fans. We must have been playing in London that weekend. Edit to say i hadn't bothered to read the since 2000 bit. Oops.
  17. Ended up watching the whole 16 mins of that. Spine tingling. God we've taken some massive followings away over the years. FFS, just someone realise the potential of this club.
  18. Think Hebburn and the NPL fixtures are out tonight around 8 PM Paully.
  19. Blue Star friendly away at Tadcaster Albion this Saturday . 5/6 coaches going down last I heard.
  20. Think I've seen that before but still had to watch it again twice. Hilarious . Think the video in the tent on RTG is down at Blue Star.
  21. Even then i'm sure all the planes participating base themselves and take off from Newcastle.
  22. Unbelievably sacked by St Mirren after a successful spell in the 70s. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but not the best footballing decision.
  23. See Sunderland empire hoping to host "Jersey Boys" the musical featuring the music and story of the FOUR SEASONS later in the year.
  24. Beardsley must be up there. Even though it was almost 40 years ago, a handful of his goals instantly spring to mind.
