  1. Yes, I went every time we played them. It was a horrible ground, on a par with Cambridge but it was a good day out. Nice place though, if i remember correctly? Very picturesque and all that. I've seen games at the following: Newcastle(in England and Wales) ---------------------------- SJP Molineux Filbert St Griffin Park Anfield Madejski Stadium Glanford Park Valley Parade Old Trafford St Andrews London Road Feethams Villa Park Bramall Lane Boundary Park Gay Meadow Stamford Bridge Loftus Road The Old Den Meadow Lane Highbury and Emirates Turf Moor Elland Road Millmoor Goodison Park Portman Road Prenton Park Blundell Park JJB Stadium Hillsborough Leeds Road Dean Court Upton Park Selhurst Park Victoria Ground(Hartlepool) Maine Rad and COM Stadium Highfield Road Brunton Park Craven Cottage Bloomfield Road County Gound Roker Park and SOS Baseball Gound and Pride Park Brisbane Road Reebok Stadium Home Park Gresty Road White Hart Lane City Gound Fratton Park Keepmoat stadium NEWCASTLE(at what are now non-league/extinct) Ewood Park Oakwell --------------------------------------------------------------- Ayresome Park and Riverside Boothferry Park Vicarage Road Seamer Road(Scarborough) Hawthorns The Dell Abbey Stadium(Cambridge) Wembley(old) Millenium Stadium The Valley Manor Ground(Oxford) Kit-Kat Crescent(York) Gateshead Stadium NEWCASTLE(in Europe) Other European Scotland ----------------------------- -------------------- ----------- Monaco Estadio de la Rosaleda(Malaga) Love Street and Greenhill Road/St Mirren Park Juventus Celtic Park Metz Ibrox AS Roma Tynecastle NAC Breda Easter Road PSV Eindhoven Fir Park Barcelona Douglas Park (old and new) FC Zurich Rugby Park Zulte Waragem(In Ghent) Brockville Eintract Frankfurt Firhill Almondvale Dens Park Tannadice East End Park Cappielow Palmerston Shyberry Excelsior Starks Park Forthbanks Hampden Park Firs Park Shielfield Park
  2. Went for Spurs 'cause of their supposed big club status, Boro 'cause they're NE rivals. Went for B'burn 'cause of big Sam, but was very undecided between them and Stoke. Stoke's a place in the middle of no-where, with a horrible team and an element of horrible hooligan fans that are living in the dark ages.
  3. Absolutely vital win yesterday. Other results went for us too. The new signings may not be "box office" signings, but they all seem hungry and determined to do well for us. Long may it continue. Newcastle being Newcastle, they had to keep us hanging on a bit towards the end. My nerves couldn't take it. I thought i was going to end up in hospital with big JK.
  4. I'm going to Hearts v St Mirren in 2 weeks time, the day before we play Everton. Occasionally watch St mirren when the Toon have no game. Go to about 3 games a season.
  5. This job would make anyone ill. He's a decent man it seems. He's just took on a massive job that's all. Sadly, too big, i think.
  6. Taking banners to games that make reference to your local rivals, even though you aren't playing them. Exactly what the Mackems did the other night at Blackburn, with a huge "FTM" banner. Obssesive or what? If i was going to spend time/money on a flag, i'd make sure it had something to do with my own club. I agree with those against playing music after goals too. I'd love to kick that DJ at Wigan all over the ground. Not that i'm bitter against them of course.
  7. Toon: Keegan. A world superstar who came to play for us in the old 2nd division. For ability, it would have to be Beardsley. Asides from at the Toon, i haven't got a favourite.
  8. Maybe we shouldn't concern ourselves with other clubs' attendances, but the media and every other clubs fans seem to make a big thing of any low crowds we have. As for Blackburn, i bet the whole Town was out in force to see the premiership trophy parded. Where are they now? I think the FA cup is now on a par with the league cup. Everyone throws their reserves in and keeps their big players for the league. It's probably easier to win than it ever has been. We still can't do it mind you.
  9. I think further protests would only put more distance between Ashley and the fans, but i don't understand why Ashley can't keep the fans up to date with the state we're in. If it's bad, so be it. Tell us how bad and we may understand. A clue to what he can do about our situation wouldn't go a miss either. As much as i disagree with how the club is being run, i don't see the point in hounding Ashley out when no-one wants to take over.
  10. When fans of other clubs sing "where were you when you were s**t"? it's fans like you they're singing about. True there comes a time when attending games no longer represents value for money, or you become skint and have to think twice, but personally speaking i'd miss going to the games wether they were against Man Utd or MK Dons. After all, i go to watch NUFC and not the opposition.
  11. That Burton bloke on SSN should apologise and leave the studio immediately.
  12. Is that the same "toilet of a place" that your fans shop and drink in all the time, on account of your City being s**t?
  13. I desperately hope the Oba swap rumour isn't true. It's disgraceful if it is. It must make Martins feel terrible. I would question the accuracy of that clown on SSN, who supposedly updates the transfer situation. What a tit. He's live on air and he's checking his mobile all the time. That's just bad manners. Who are these "sky sources" anyway. They're almost as bad as the chronicle for speculating lately. Once the window closes, someone at the club should set the record straight on this one. This club have their finger glued onto the self destruct button.
  14. Lovenkrands CM? Not sure about that. Is that opera singer singing this year? Singing? The way things are going, he could be playing.
  15. Get out of this club ASAP Insomnia. WE WON'T LOSE ANY SLEEP OVER IT. While we all know JK has his faults, this was a pathetic excuse to say he want's away. If we can't get rid and he refuses to play, then we should refuse to pay his wages. He's effectively on strike. If we turned up at work and said we wouldn't work under the current boss, we'd be given our p45.
  16. We want more!!A step in the right direction and hopefully just the start. Hope we get Taylor in too.
  17. It's not good, but in Owens case, we can't say how bad his injury is until after his scan. The lay off time is purely speculation until then. Last night Joe Kinnear said he'd be out 3 weeks, then within the space off half an hour, Gary Lineker had turned that into 6. Knowing our luck though, he won't be back in a hurry.
  18. Aye, we're in the mire, but look at some of the teams around us. Boro have taken about 4 points out of a possible last 33. Portsmouth are dropping like a stone. Even Hull, who are only 4 points better off than us, have lost 6 consecutive prem' games. I know i'm clutching at straws, but i think i'm struggling to come to terms with our situation. I'm trying to convince myself as much as others that we'll be OK. Hansen and Lawrenson annoyed me again last night. Hansen by saying we were in freefall, whilst over-looking the equally bad form of others, then funny man Lawrenson by asking if Joey Barton had fractured a fracture. I wish he could ask Joey that face to face.
  19. Trying to tell myself that there'll be 3 worse teams than us this season and that we're playing a poor side on Sunday. We're as likely to win as that lot, but this is Newcastle United and sometimes it just seems like they kick us in the nuts repeatedly. I'm trying to remind myself that i feel lucky in life, i have my health etc, while Sunday and football is just a game, but it really is hard sometimes. Come on lads! Pull a win out of the bag at the weekend, PLEASE.
  20. So you won the last derby, but because you lost umpteen previous to that, you're considered to be in our shadow. Let's hope normal service is resumed on Sunday, although if i'm honest, i'm bricking it because of how dire my team has become. Oh, and i know football was invented before 1992, because i can remember your lot playing in the old 3rd division in the 80s. That's right, English footballs 3rd tier, where NUFC have never been.
  21. A fair weather fan she may be, but i'm sure she'd love us to be doing well.
  22. I agree, if Ashley hasn't decided 'f*** em' and stopped trying to buy players... we should be alright. I maintain though, if we don't make many good signings in this window it doesn't mean the club has 'failed'. Very few clubs make meaningful moves in January. That's as maybe, but we NEED to make "meaningful" signings, and if we don't there's every chance we'll go down. That's failure in my eyes. He's got this window to restore our faith in him, and to stop himself being the most hated man on Tyneside. Let's hope Ashley takes that chance.
  23. Hate Derby games at the best of times, without it being a relegation battle. They're crap too. A lot will depend on who's up for it the most, and that's what worries me. Would love to have Martins back, but i'll be surprised if he makes it in time.
  24. I'll accept Ashley at this club, if only he'll make an effort to pull the clubs fortunes around.
  25. Aye, what a brilliant man he is for going high and mighty and washing his hands of all of us. Better man than Ashley, who is doing nothing other than digging us into a big hole. It's already been pointed out in this thread, but feeling negativity towards Keegan is NOT SUPPORTING ASHLEY. Granted, but i posted before reading the whole thread. I still feel Keegan is being made scapegoat for the actions of Ashley back in September.
