Yeah must be really tough for him. I know he's still getting paid etc, but given the shortness of a footballers career and the fact he wants to prove himself in England, must be a bit soul-destroying. Hope he gets a decent recovery and gets a decent run of games when he's fit before the end of the season.

Was just trying to get to the end of the season. Was really trying to give him the benefit of the (huge) doubt and watch some football but for him to come out and say this confirms he's 100% a bloody idiot. Going to Palace on Wednesday then I'm done for the season. Fucking idiotic time wasters.

I'm excited to see him fit, but hope the fans don't expect too much too soon following his injury. Think he could be a quality player for us if given the chance.

Berahino saying he wants to move on to better things than WBA - http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/04/saido-berahino-ambition-west-brom-bigger Must say he comes across as a massive prick to me. His failure to celebrate any of his goals against Gateshead made me take an irrational dislike to him, but can't say I've been overly impressed by him when I've watched WBA. Has a 'Scott Sinclair' career failure written all over him following a move to someone like Liverpool.

According to a Palace fan in my office, Gouffran has been linked with a move to join back up with Pards.

Seems like a crazy decision unless we're getting someone in as a replacement. So in other words, it's a crazy decision.
-
Still needs to learn how to head a ball this lad, but good going forward.
-
To be honest he's been out for quite a while, would be very surprised if he came straight back in. A sub on when we're losing after 60 minutes most likely.
-
Completely forgot we were actually in a transfer window. Good sign.
-
They got their hands burnt with Ranger so I can understand why they'd be cautious, especially given his injury record so far in the first team environment.

Meh, season was fucked anyway. Would rather we appoint the right man in six months than the wrong man (permanently) now. Though of course I feel sorry for those with a season ticket and knowing us we'll appoint the wrong man in six months anyway. This club.

I'd be amazed to find any journalist who has said Wise was anything like Beckenbauer. The paranoia shown on these forums to the London based press really is a bit sad. You get shit journalists everywhere, just look at the bloody Chronicle. And remember Alan Oliver? He was the beacon of North-East truth no? Probably said Steven Taylor was the reincarnate of Bobby Moore at one point.

One of the better football blogs have an article about him today - http://www.thesefootballtimes.net/#!sir-bobby-the-greatest-remembered/cwgn

You need to pay Rupert Murdoch to read the rest Fair play to Garde, he knows he's better than to be a yes man. Welcome, McClaren. http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/219/935/1324355554298.gif

Would take £900k let alone £9m.
-
Still our best centre-back whether people think he's finished or not.
-
Poor old Adam Campbell, can't even get a start for the stiffs now.
-
Few rumours flying about he may join Hughton down at Brighton.
-
Has been very good for us this season, may have even been immense had he consistently been played in his strongest position. Don't think he's irreplaceable mind. Shame that Ashley's probably crossing his fingers that Obertan is back soon.
-
Given he's fallen out with pretty much every club he's ever been at, there may be some truth to that.
-
Just shift Tiote and it'd be a good transfer window for us. Ideally though an actual CB who can kick a ball in a direction he means it to replace Iron Mike and a striker. Actually ideally pretty much every position except goalkeeper and right-back, but I have to be at least slightly realistic.
-
Looked so promising in the handful of games he played for us, fingers crossed he gets back soon and we won't have to put up with the type of dross Tiote and Anita served up yesterday.
-
Les Reid wouldn't want to take over going by today's showing.

With Santon recovering from injury was always likely to only play 60 minutes.
