Why do you keep ignoring we have heard from PIF already? They're out. They were funding 80% of it. Of all the parties involved that's a pretty f***ing big one to get that statement from. As I have said quite a few times, we will hear when this is finally resolved, as either a "full stop" or as a "Takeover", and we will hear absolutely NOTHING - from anyone that matters, Staveley, Reubens, PIF, Ashley, - up until that final point. Everything else we see reported or commented on is just BS. All we need to do is 'forget it' (kind of) and just W A I T.

I'm not repeating it again. From PIF From the PL To make things easier for you. The group that make up 80% of the bid have withdrawn and have officially said so OK, I have described the current situation as it is. It is not a good idea to quote selected statements from the past that support your own interpretation. We will all just have to wait for the end result. That is what I am saying, and have said it many times now. Don't interprate, just wait, if its not dead it "must be" alive (that's not an interpretation) just wait.

I fully understand why a number of people on here are saying (things like) "It's dead, finished, we have been 'fucked', move on for your own sanity" etc, etc, etc. AND that some of those saying that actually do believe that, though some of those saying it are obviously only 'saying it' for their own sanity. I understand all that. However, it is obviously not dead. Until such time as Staveley and / or Ashley say that it is categorically dead . . . it is very much ALIVE.

Like fuck they did. A point to know, we both know absolutely fuck all and are making assumptions not facts. I am with bimpy on this. The only reason this takeover did not happen was because of the corrupt EPL. It was not Amanda's fault, nor the Reubens and not the PIF. It was certainly not the fans fault or George Caulkin. HOPE you are right. For me - for the first time - this week I have felt that is dead. And I am the 'ultimate optimist', it has just felt dead since the Masters letter.

It does seem like there is no longer any point here at NUFC. We sort of "had a taste" of what it could be like, those of us who came to believe that our owners were now Staveley/PIF/Reubens (it felt like it had already happened) and now we have been told that (again) our 'proper place' is . . . 1 - Ashley. 2 - Bruce. 3 - Relegation. Yes, so what's the point?

That is an important statement, makes all the difference. BUT, have they actually said that? We only have a newspaper report that says that, that has then got 'repeated as fact'. Do we know if PIF have actually said that?
