As he's seemingly here for the next 12months+, why don't you want the club to progress? He might be a bit doubtful whether Pardew is the right man to be handed a transfer kitty. I know I was when Kinnear was given the money during the last premier window in Jan. Hopefully Pardew will be a bit more clued up than Kinnear but I still feel nervous. He's right, our club has a higher profile than the other two and Stevenage dominated us. They wanted it and we were gutless.

For what it's worth I don't agree that it should be a red card as it was a good tackle, but how he went for the tackle has been highlighted by referees to give red cards for because of it's potential danger or recklessness.

He left the ground for the tackle and because of that it can be considered reckless. It wasn't two footed going into the tackle but his studs were showing. He's out of the match next Sunday.

I called for him to be dropped last season and regretted it, he has nearly 1 in 2? This season in a team with not too many goalscorers and he is a brilliant captain. Cannot be dropped, I don't think he is nearly as bad as made out either. In his quite games he is still always very, very tidy. Give him the ball and 99 times out of 100 he will find one of our players even if he isn't creating something. It seems to depend on the opposition and how high up the pitch he's playing. Sometimes when he's played off Carroll the opposition have found it far too easy to mark him out of the game and he's just become invisible.
