SHEARER ISN'T THERE. ARGHGHARHGHARHAGHARHGHGHHGHHGHGHGHARHGHGHGHGAG ARGH!!!H!H! He's on the M1 according to his Twitter.
  2. Considering Man U had ranted against Abramovich after spending vast sums, while they did the same on the likes of Rooney, Ferdinand, and a host of others for prices pretty much at LEAST as high as what Chelea were spending, why is Abramovich any worse ? Like all the huge amounts of money WE spent, the Manchester United money was EARNED money (in football). The Abramovich money was just "given/donated" and had nothing to do with earned football money. It made a fairly grotty mid-table club into a superficial 'big' club (despite HUGE losses of about £300M in many individual years). To be honest they were hardly a mid-table club, they won the FA cup in 97, league cup in 98 and got to the Champions League quarter finals in 2000. On top of that they finished 4th in the 2002/2003 season. I know that the Russian bought them in 2003, but I forget when. Either way, they've been a good team for a long time. Man City however.. if it wasn't for Thaksin they'd be absolutely knackered. I miss the days of Pearce managing them and them having no money. Chelsea had been living way beyond their means for a few years prior to Abramovich buying them, they were rumoured to be very close to going into administration at the time. Still doesn't make them a grotty mid-table club. They were achieving good league finishes and had some really good players.

    RIP sale thread.

It'd be like the portrait of the staircases with a 4th dimension.
  4. That video is stupid. The title is 'Hughton has Bale in Sights' and on it Hughton says that he hopes to add to the squad. When one of the reporters asks about possible targets such as Gareth Bale, Hughton says that any names talked about in the press are nothing more than speculation right now..
  5. Didn't know they'd released Sheva.. ahh who am I kidding. I don't care. I was of the understanding he'd just been places on the transfer list. According to a Chelsea forum I just read he hasn't been released but Ancelotti has pretty much said that he's out the door and he appears to be leaving for his first club Dynamo Kyiv... it was Dynamo right?

  7. Surely a work permit would be pretty much impossible to get then?

    RIP sale thread.

    You really are psychic.
  9. Same here I think we'll see Nolan where Guthrie is, since Hughton seems to like playing Nolan in that slightly advanced role.
  10. You talk bollocks. Harper has shipped 1 goal in 315 minutes of football. Krul has shipped 3 goals in 135 minutes. The 'odd mistake' can be the difference between 3 points and 0 points. What would have happened if the roles had been reversed? That's a stupid argument since you can't prove either way what Krul would have done in each situation. Either way it'd be probable that Krul would go for every single ball, whether he should or shouldn't and it would sooner or later lead to a mistake. But I can't say for sure. Your faith in Krul is good, but also blinded on the back of some impressive but giddy performances. You could even argue that Krul didn't deserve a yellow the other night because of an apparent dive, but it's still irrelevant. We should go with whats working right now.. if Ameobi was fit, I wouldn't want him dropped for Ranger because he's something of a better prospect. It's the same principle and such a needless gamble could cost in near future.
  11. So you'd gladly lose say... 9 points this season just in order to bed Krul in? Unlikely to cost that many points as we are too good. Truth is that when the goalkeeper get exposed by our defence, Harper and Krul are on a par right now. Krul's springyness makes up for his lack of Harpers experience. Its even stevens between them right now and I'd rather do what is best for the future. You're so wrong its unbelievable. We are not too good at all. Krul and Harper are not on par right now and springyness is useless you don't have the experience to know where to spring to. I'm all for Krul learning, but not at this stage of the season. Harper doesn't deserve to be dropped. Simple as.

  14. I'd be disappointed if we paid that much for him given the position that we're in, but he is a very good player at this level.
  15. Ok, Shola and Carroll are out of this crucial league match. Who would YOU choose? RANGER XISCO erm.. SMITH DONALDSON This injury in the striker department means that we'll almost definitely play a 5 man midfield with Nolan playing the advanced role.. so who would you play upfront? Your choices range from 3 strikers with no senior goals for the club and a Spanish striker that has failed to impress at reserve level whilst here.
  16. Out of interest are there many Spurs fans in Norway? Infact what English teams are popular over there forgetting the obvious ones.
  17. So.. Lescott from Everton to City Dunne from City to Villa Distin Pompey to Everton Excellent.
  18. Colo is on massive wages and Ashley wants rid. There's not much chance of a premiership team coming in for him, but if one of the teams gets desperate around deadline time anything could happen and having a non cup-tied player is more attractive than one that is. I'll give my head a shake if you pull yours out of your arse.
  19. 3 pre-match threads and 3 wins for Newcastle.. It's ok boys, no need to thank me.
  20. Stunning build up play from Arsenal there, nice finish by Arse Shaving.
