What is noticeable is that the better teams have no trouble in passing the ball around and never get hustled off the ball like we do. There again we seem to kick the ball up in the air a lot so keeping posession is always going to be that much harder. I've said all along (here) that I didn't think we'd break the top four, and I was clearly right. However, it does show the gap between the top four and the rest. Villa and Everton are the two next best sides by some distance, but still the gap is immense. Sky will be creaming their f***ing pants, naturally. Normal order is resumed, nothing changes. Basically all of your & Everton televised fixtures will be entitled 'RACE FOR EUROPE' by Sky.. Liverpool, Chelsea & Man Utd will be 'RACE FOR THE TITLE' obviously and then there'll be the 'RACE FOR SURVIVAL' for essentially the lower half of the table since it's that open. Ashley hired Keegan. Ashley sort of improved us in the summer. In some ways. Ashley chose his system over Keegan. Ashley got in JFK on the temp while he tried to get out. Ashley failed to sell and then decided to stay. Ashley wants to keep JFK as manager. Ashley The whole management team completely fuck up the transfer window. JFK has a triple heart bypass but Ashley decides to NOT get in a manager. NUFC is close to relegation because we're essentially a rudderless ship. You can have a go at Keegan, Shephard or anyone you want.. but Ashley has had so many chances to make it right that it really can't lie with anyone else now. You can trim down the above or edit it, but he's basically missed out on at least 3 stonewall chances to get us out of the mire and completely fucked up. It's his fault.

I prefer the Chat section to the forum now-a-days. Not particularly because of this thread, but because this is the kind of stuff being posted all the time. This club is just depressing.

I doubt we'd have finished 7th in his final season if he hadn't have been by Roeders' side after he was sidelined. Just my opinion, like.. but I think he had a lot of sway in the dressing room and this contributed to that brilliant run we had. Souness leaving helped as well, mind.

I've been on 8 since this poll started. I don't think I actually meant it though to be honest.. since then we beat Pompey & Villa and I felt a bit daft.. then we had a run of bad results, beat WBA which lifted us slightly and it's been pretty much disappointment every fixture since. I see that 8 is now the most common one. Depressing really.
