  1. Yeah, it was only 6 through injury. The majority was ACN. He was hardly ever injured in his first season aswell. God knows what would have happened if he had been.
  2. LOL I'm being serious, Jonas plays from too deep to effectively link up with Lovenkrands, and has little end product to compensate. You're talking like we have options. And you honestly think we should play Martins from the Bench? Lovenkrands subject to maintaining West Brom form is an upgrade on Martins imho. You're almost always completely wrong. Sorry, but saying Lovenkrands is better than Martins because he scored a rebounded goal against West Brom is a bit daft to be honest. Same with the Jonas comment, he's going to be crucial to us staying up based on the mayhem and forward movement he causes alone.

Colo took about a season and a half to really settle at Depor.. even their fans said as much. Assuming Colo stays with us, I'm confident that he'll start to reflect his price tag. He's already shown glimpses of how good he is, he just needs to get some consistency going.
  5. I imagine that there's people who work for NUFC that check the message boards but I highly doubt that they have people posting in order to sway our opinion.

I also heard that black people from the age of 1 month has bigger penises than an avarage 25 year old white male.... Its true you know! I knew you'd reply to that.

I reckon Duff would be alright in Italy. Their football is boring and slow too.
  8. Tried to pressure him into a quick signing I guess.
  9. Yeah, but only for one half.
  10. From a business point of view, having Michael Owen on the books is worth it I imagine.
  11. It's the fact that he's so ridiculously slow whenever he does something, like receive and turn with the ball. He makes the process look awkward. Maybe it's severe rust that'll take a while to come off, but that and the needless fouls & offsides really let his game down. Occasionally he'll show a glimpse of a footballer. But that isn't good enough for a starting XI player.
  12. I didn't mind Milner.. but the truth is I could never accept him because his cheekbones annoyed me far too much. Is it because of my chubby hamster cheeks that I hold a grudge? Who knows for sure.. but what I do know is that them cheekbones are ridiculous. They weren't top 4 material and soon they'll be found out at that level.
  13. I wonder if someone could count how many times 'Arry blinked in that clip. It's incredible. Me and a mate tried before. It's all plain sailing until he starts getting annoyed and starts going into twitch overdrive.
  14. Toonlass isn't getting at the comparisons of Sunderland & Arsenal, but more of the fact that it's your local Derby.. one of the biggest games of your season. They were there for the taking with a man down and their main striker injured and you just didn't take that chance. If it was the same with us v Sunderland some could call it an embarrisment not because it was Sunderland, but because it was our Tyne - Wear derby. At least I hope that's what she meant.
  15. Just saw it being replayed. At first I thought that Modric had done something and Eboue was playing peacemaker. Should have guessed, really.
  16. What was that yellow for? I walked out the room, came back to see Eboue chatting to Modric and then Deano cracks the yellow out.
  17. Our team is full of people that speak scouse, spanish & french. He won't need to speak english.

  19. Nah, we have players with no legs or real speed at all or really quick players.. no inbetween. Villa have some really fast players but the likes of Barry can run when they need to.
  20. lol, i read the article, wanted to know personal qualities, coaching philosophy etc To be fair I've just read the wiki article and it's generally spot on. The players loved him and many thought it was an unfair dismissal. Kinda reminds me of the Bobby Robson setup where finishing 5th wasn't good enough. I saw a fair bit of Atletico in the 06/07 season but not much after that.. but he got the team playing really nice stuff. Then again the players he had already at Atletico made that much easier, with the likes of Torres, Sergio Aguero & Maxi Rodriguez. If you saw the Atletico Liverpool Champions League ties earlier in the season you'll have an idea of the type of football to expect from him. He's not afraid to mix it up a bit as well. I remember that from the 06/07 season. He did like to tinker with the formation a bit and keep you guessing.
  21. He's a good coach, did really well with Atletico.
