There's literally a hand full of people that know the true state of play and claiming to be a party to any of that information is laughable at best. Best just to keep your head down and concentrate on hating Bruce for the foreseeable. Personally I think the embers are still burning away, whether they go out or finally burst into flames I wouldn't even hazard a guess at. Either way if it goes through we'll finally have a club to be proud of again, if it doesn't then there's genuinely nothing left and I'll probably delete my account as this is the last place that keeps me interested.

So they're that worried about relegation that they cancel all takeover talk as that'll help, because. But the main instigator of the likelihood of relegation gets to keep his job in the position that will most likely decide the outcome of said relegation. Makes perfect sense to me. I'm in!

We know the takeover is in arbitration, we know all parties are still at the table and we know no decisions have been made yet. Who knows why fat boy won't get rid of Bruce or why he equally won't entertain other offers for the club? We've seen it take 2 months for a takeover to go through, we've seen it take 2 years so 11 months down the line is of no significance to where we are or whether it will be done. Everyone's wasting so much energy vehemently defending their position of failed/successful, you're all close minded, only willing to bend the truth to your opinion without subjectiveness. It really is tiresome in here, suggestion: read the information readily available, ask yourself why nothing concrete has happened yet and wait until someone official tells you what's happening before shouting each other down from your ill informed soap boxes.

In a nutshell. Absolutely this and Bruce will play it as a moral victory in the 2nd half when we manage a 0-0 because they're already 3 or 4 up and letting us have the ball with no idea what to do with it. No meaningful shots on goal, 0 on target and no more than 2 or 3 passes forward strung together.

Dubravka should be #1 if fit, no ifs, no buts, he's the better keeper and as harsh as it seems on Darlow, there's no room for feelings here. Darlow has had his best form for us since Dubs has been out injured but Dubs really could be the difference between staying up and going down.

I think it's great what he's doing, awesome that he's invested so much time and money into trying to bring about change and he should get plaudits for that, totally, bloke should never have to buy a season ticket or beer again if he helps it get passed. That doesn't give him Carte Blanche to come out swinging at anyone he disagrees with though, he has no decorum about him and I've defended him in the past plenty of times because I'm sure it can't be easy to get pelters by some of our support. Tonight is the litmus test for who is really in charge, back 5 and concede possession, or 4-3-3 and a high press. Team sheet should give us our first idea. I'll reserve judgement on predicting score lines until then.

Catch 22 for me too now, a draw won't do, a win and I feel it's a step closer to safety and Bruce is gone anyway if a takeover materialises, a loss and it's another nail in his coffin and he goes sooner. I want us to stay up but I don't want him to win, it's a tough one

It's only a great expectation for those with no expectations of themselves, every good manager we've had hasn't felt the weight of any expectation because they've understood the potential of this club and they've done their damned best to get us there, that's all we ask. Your own failings are the pressure you feel, fuck off blaming those with no control over that.

At this point in the season and with a takeover looming then we need to just accept whatever will get us over the line and still in the premier league, it's not Bruce that's for sure. Beggars can't be choosers, we can worry about longevity once this takeover is settled one way or the other and we know what direction we're going in.
