  1. According to the Journal its not really Ashley v. Keegan but Derek Llambias v. Keegan. The solution to that is Keegan all the way.
  2. Got to say, if KK leaves or is sacked, I'll probably take some break from football, perhaps a year or two. It hurts so much to support Newcastle. Newcastle is the most loved club by it's fans. The club needs to give some love back.
  3. Sacking Keegan is the single most stupid thing Ashley could do at this point. For what reason would he do that. I thought he was enjoying his football. Keegan himself said that they would try to get a few players in and if not they would just have to soldier on. This doesn't make any sense.
  4. If KK leaves this club will be in so much trouble. We need to be building creditability and showing some consistency. Nobody will be all that crazy to join our club, managers or players, which leaves us with the left over players that nobody wants. The fact that woodgate saw spurs as a better prospect than Newcastle says we are already living that nightmare. To get out we need to stick with the manager. If KK is threatening to leave Ashley better convince him other vice or he'll have a hell of a time building this club.
  5. it's an interesting one that, why did the club go public? because they agreed a deal with another player and wanted to force villa to bid for milner against everton uppping the fee... fookim hope so! I highly doubt it.
  6. Oliver reported that Faye is out with a hamstring problem, can't see him then being in training with Stoke.
  7. Pointless TBH. Not finding a replacement, just replacing him with someone who isn't that good either. If we are to replace him it's either got to be ready made striker such as Santa Cruz etc or a younster who could be good for us in a few years i.e Derdiyok. There's no excuse for signing s**** players, i'd rather give Carroll a chance. There's absolutely NO reason why we shouldn't put an offer in for Santa Cruz regardless of whether we sell Shola or not. Agree that Healy would be a pointless signing. problem there is viduka, owen, martins and another top striker, we can't keep them happy especially when we're not in europe with their injury record I think you might as well count them as 2 strikers. I see no problem with having another.
  8. the mackems are at sjp today??? ;D
  9. The season he was at Villa? mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif
  10. To think that 14 months ago our defense was Carr - Bramble - Taylor - Babayaro and tomorrow it might be Beye - Faye - Coloccini - Enrique
  11. This attitude is really starting to annoy me. Some fans seem to be supporting the manager more than the club these days. Keegan isn't a miracle worker, especially when he's only got s*** players to turn into world beaters. I say one word and you question my attitude. Who the fuck are you to judge. Keegan spreads optimism. He makes the team play better football than fatty sam. At least well enjoy it more. If I was as prejudgemental as you, I would say you need some prozak. But since I don't know shit about you, except you shit comment, I'm going to wait with my judgment.
  12. I don't know what it is, but I always feel good about Newcastle after hearing Keegan talk, guess thats what makes him so special.
  13. Nope, used to be like that a long time ago, like in the middle-ages or something like that (history is not my best subject ). Pretty sure Iceland still uses that system though. Yup Bjarni Gudjonsson's dad is Gudjon Thodarsson (ex Stoke manager) My newborn son is sturluson We will always used that system in Iceland.
  14. SWP is the better choice but much more unlikely. Pennant is a more realistic choice. One thing though, don't know why people think he will recapture his form under Keegan. Has Parker recaptured his form under Curbishley? SWP might improve under Keegan like Owen has, but he will never be the SWP of ManCity.
  15. Which team do you support in your local league?
  16. Have to disagree with that. The season where we were turning around scorelines week after week when Robson was here (the 4-3 Leeds season) the squad were fantastically fit Yeah suppose, but towards the end of the 2003 season we faded alot. Wasn't that due to Bellamy's injury? Bellamy was fantastic that season. Even Sir Alex said that if he hadn't gotten injured we might have got the title.
  17. Which fantasy football game is that?
  18. I went to my first match this season today. I invited my son with me. All in all it cost me about 1200 quids all in all for flight, car, hotel and food. Didn't see the best match but it was worth it anyway. Will come back next year. Didn't hear any booing from the milburn stand.
  19. Why would Birmingham think they could get Lippi, why do Sunderland fans think they can stay up? Why did I sleep with my boss and ask for a raise? You dont ask you dont get, everythings worth a punt and everyone needs hope, even if it means waking up with a sore arse and a head full of shattered memories you get that raise?
  20. I say, if we can get him for 3-4m then go get him, we must take some risk in the market.

    Walcott on Loan

Would much rather improve Newcastles Lualua than Arsenals Walcott.
  22. Trying to read to much into the press, bad choice. I'm not bothered if we buy no players in january. Sam needs more time and hopefully he'll get a full backing in the summer transfer window and a season after that before we judge him. It's the only way to success.
