  1. He's a good player, also coming up to 31.
  2. This is a complete write off, this game. Genuinely think we've got no chance.
  3. Tbf, Blind was playing in the Dutch league, in by quite some distance the best side in that league, with very little by way of pressure and plenty of mobility and talent around him.
  4. I love Eriksen as a player, but Christ he's in no way suited to life in this shit show where there'll be so much pressure on him to perform week in and week out. A nostalgic return to Spurs and a few cameos before the end of the season would be great for him
  5. That's fucking damning, like. Christ.
  6. I keep hoping there will be a game when things just seem to 'click', but it just never seems to happen beyond brief 10/20 minute spells. Frustrating as fuck. I hope any incoming transfers will change that, but the rot is just too deep for me

    Rafa Benítez

If the main objective this season is to avoid relegation, Rafa is infinitely better equipped to get this shit show playing together. Long term thereafter is a different proposition.
  8. We're not beating Leeds, like
  9. There are definitely not three worse squads than us, like. We're the only team in the league without any discernable style of play. Most of the players still don't look as they have a fucking clue what they're supposed to be doing on the pitch over the course of 90 minutes
  10. The first thing the owners should have done was booted Nickson and employed a scout with a remit to just go and find a new team's worth of players.
  11. He's always fucking bullied by forwards these days - no matter how big they are. He's also old enough to know better, but his reading of the game jist gets worse and worse.
  12. This is absolutely where I'm at too. I keep anticipating that things will click - that we're due a decent result and a consistent, coherent, performance. But each and every game that goes by, it looks as though that simply isn't going to happen.
  13. They've hitched their wagon to him now, it's all on him from here on in.
  14. The difference between him and, say, Gerrard or Rafa, is that he's a specialist in mediocrity v. being a serial winner. It's easy to say with hindsight, and I say this in a mindset if pure and utter frustration, but we should be seeing some upturn in results or a noticeable difference in performances at this stage. The fact that so many folk making comparisons with Bruce says it all about how much he's change on the pitch. He's employed to get results at the end of the day and he's not doing it.
  15. We've also been absolutely fucking shite when we've played the better teams, so added to the inability to get results against direct rivals, we look nowhere near getting a surprise result that would get us points on the board.

    Rafa Benítez

Would guarantee he'd make a better fist of keeping us up than Howe.
  17. And the comments re: 'a foculpoint for the team'. It just sounded primitive/the sort of shit a pfm would come out with.
  18. Everyone accepts that Howe's got a tough job rolling back years of rot and tactical ineptitude, but the fact that he doesn't seem able to adapt his style to the players that are available to him will see us going down.
  19. I would also argue that he stumbled on solutions rather than actively seeking them out. Joelinton in CM, dropping Clark, Etc
  20. I found it worrying that he was Howe's 'first choice' tbh.
  21. Players are not going to want to play for this shitshow, let's be honest. The games are running out.
  22. A complete fucking idiot of a footballer these days
  23. It's fair to say that the problems we had under Bruce are still clear to see. - There's no pressure or intensity. - Can't hold a lead convincingly. - Central midfield and defence are absolutely fucking awful He's not been able to get a tune from anyone, bar Joelinton, which has been a surprise.
